When they tell you to drop your pants, don't worry. Just relax. It's all part of it.

My son plays football and had a "Sports Physical".My daughter is a cheerleader and had one also. They were exactly the same.It consisted of things like checking heart rate by making them jog in place...checking their reflexes...even made them squat and walk like a duck. Also,he did ask my son if he was having any pain in his "guy-parts".The whole process took about 30mins.Nothin to it..I am assuming the physical is pretty much the same no matter where you live.Take Care...and Be Careful out on the field..... :)

The doctor might ask you to run in place for like a minute or drop down, do a push up and pick your self up, see what your allergic to and all that good stuff. The whole "your guy parts" thing just depends on which doctor you go to. Some do it, some don't. If they do have to do it, its not bad and it'll be over in a second. Good luck, hope you have a good season!!

The doctor will take a blood test, listen to your respiratory (breath sounds), check your flexibility, and yes they will gently hold one testicle at a time and have you cough. This test if to check for any abdominal hernias.
I survived it for three years during my high school athletic years and following four college years. Don't sweat it, the doctor has seen thousands of penis and testicles over his years and the male gentiles all look the same at this point. Just relax.

Yes, but you want the doc to do that to make sure everything is okay (no irregularities/unnatural lumps/etc). Just relax and go with it. You can always ask another male friend/relative do give you details. That's pretty standard for any physcial for a guy (besides checking your ears, eyes, throat, blood pressure, etc).

I sort of agree with bonnie but... they usually don't do blood work, most schools can't afford that. They listen to your heart and lungs. The Supreme Court just upheld random drug tests in high school kids for the 4 or 5th time. In most school districts they are wildly unpopular and are not done, just be careful they may do it

Yep. I do lots of sports physicals every year.
You get checked to make sure you don't have any hernias down there.
You also have your heart and lungs checked to make sure you won't collapse on the field.
They check muscle strength, nerve strength.
Lung fields and heart being clear and normal in beating and function.
They also check out your belly for a different type of hernia.

yes, but it isn't severe. two fingers against the inside if your thigh, right where your pelvis meets your parts. turn head and cough, repeat on other side, done. making sure you don't have a hernia. over in a second. better than the physical you get when closing on old age.

It will be a class three phisical. They check your joints, legs, arm, abdomen. It will be very detailed. They will have to check your guy parts ( penis, balls, etc) for any abnormalities just to make sure you wont pull anything like a groin. Takes about 30 minutes, just relax and dont erect. Trust me its embrassing.

Yelp! Included in your physical will be blood work, blood pressure, examining your chest, your weight, cholesterol etc. They will also (SORRY) probably check your testicles and give you an anal test. Just relax. Girls have to do it too, and it only lasts a minute.
