About 5 moths ago I started craving ice. At first, it would be one 22 oz cup full a day, usually with water or a Coke and I would just crunch away at what ever ice was remaining in the glass. But now, on my way to work I stop and buy a 32oz cup of ice, at lunch I buy a 32oz cup full and then on my way home from work in the evenings, I purposely go to the convinace store to buy four or five 22oz cups of ice. I usually consume one before getting home and the others I put in the freezer and munch on through the night. My first concern, of course, would be my teeth with all the crunching. In most cases I get crushed ice, but sometimes, like today, I am stuck with cubes. Secondly, I heard that craving ice could mean an iron deficency. I currently do not have health insurance, so a Dr's visit is out for now, so I was just wondering if anyone else has simular cravings and has been able to get to the bottom of them. Thanks!
