I thought a hobby of making antique looking chess, checkers, chinese checkers, etc., game boards would be fun. I just can't find any reference materials or websites that will help me in designing the proper size board, along with the look and feel.
Does anyone know of any good woodworking, antiquing or hobby books about this?

My family does a lot of early morning biking and we need to be more visible. I'm looking for a place to buy adult fluorescent t-shirts in bulk and fluorescent tshirts for toddlers. I havent been able to find much for adult t-shirts and havent been able to find ANYTHING for toddler t-shirts. Would it be easier for me to buy fabric dye? Is there fluorescent fabric dye? and where can I find it?

Does anyone have any links to patterns for sewing teddy bears? What about the eyes and nose and mouth? Where do you buy the eyes and noses and how do you stitch the mouths on? Please give me any and all suggestions and links that you can.

I know that the notches are supposed to be cut out when using a pattern to sew, because it takes the corners out of the clothes, but I can't see why they're marked on my pant pattern on the straight side. No matter how I look at it, I can't see how it'll make a corner if I forget about cutting them out...patterns in general confuse me; they're hard to decipher.

There are anywhere from 50-60 kids each day, so the materials for the craft have to be pretty cheap. Thanks!

I have a jean jacket that I am refashioning. I have these great old buttons that I would like to put on it to make it look funky rather than 'generic' but the jacket has those metal buttons that are put on by machines, the same kind you usually find on jeans (pants). I don't want to take the scissors to it as this would destroy the fabric and make putting other buttons on there impossible.

Has anyone ever taken these kinds of buttons off with success?

i've been to a pub and got rly bored and noticed the only thing i could play with was a napkin wich i folded into a heart and i think it might be fun and it would be intresting for the others to see me folding stuff into shapes like animals or anything , sounds like fun and i don't even need free time to practice i can just practice whenever i get bored in pubs

I have lots of Whitman coin folders for the rest of my collection, but I can't find any coin folders anywhere for the standing liberty dimes, barber dimes, and peace dollars. I could buy the blank dime and dollar folders, but I would have to write all over them to label the years and mint marks and I have messy writing. I found one on E-Bay for the standing liberty dimes, but have had a situation with paypal (someone trying to access my account), so I'm still skeptical about using E-bay. I would prefer (blue and labeled) Whitman coin folders so they'll match the rest of the folders, but I'll take anything. I've searched multiple websites...even coin sites and the US Mint site, but none of them have anything. Has anyone seen labeled standing liberty dime, barber dime, and peace dollar coin folders? (Coin FOLDERS, not albums - please).

I bought a silver tea pot service (with tea pot, sugar bowl, and cream bowl) at a yard sale. I would like to research its value on my own. What resources do I use ?

I just got married, and don't want to throw away the paper from all the wedding gifts. I don't have the time or patience to do cute little crafts, but I was wondering how to recycle it, or how to iron it to use for the next few weddings coming up.

My friend shipped me a beautiful mosaic picture frame that she had gotten in Italy for my 18th birthday. Unfortunately a few pieces of the mosaic broke off along with some grouting. How do I fix it ?
