I just got married, and don't want to throw away the paper from all the wedding gifts. I don't have the time or patience to do cute little crafts, but I was wondering how to recycle it, or how to iron it to use for the next few weddings coming up.

Recycling is great! You can iron it, but not with too much heat and on the back side. Can also press tissue paper. Then either fold or better yet wrap around a cardboard tube if you have one from other wrapping paper. I personally love the gift bags used so much today. So much easier to store and reuse. If you have more than you think you can use, check with a local nursing home or daycare and maybe they can use it for crafts.

Coordianting the thank you card with the paper used to wrap that gift is a great idea. Just get blank cards, available at places like Staples in many different fold types, some white glue, rip the paper, then glue to front or inside of the card. You can even re-use the ribbon in the same manner. If you are really lazy, don't bother ironing, the wrinkled look is in, just wrap the next wedding gift in the paper you already have. Easy, easy, easy to think of project to use the papers for. Have fun, use your imagination.

Well using it for back rounds for wedding pictures or for scrap booking would be cute. Or If by now you're ready to send out thank you cards, Find blank cards and envelopes and decorate them with the wrapping paper. If you got wedding picture taken, buy a wooden fram and coolege it onto the frame to frame the picture. If you still have a lot left over, i think it's possible to lay a couple towels onto your ironing bored and place the paper in bewteen the towels, and steam it. But you might to check it out online for the way to iron out paper.

You know, you could always use it as a background to the photos in your wedding album. It shouldn't take much effort at all to put it behind the photos. And that way, the pretty paper will remind you all the more of your wedding day. To get the wrinkles out, you get it wet (carefully) and lay it flat to dry. Or you can just leave it wrinkly. It's very crafty looking and tends to add charm to pages. It's a classic scrapbooking trick!

Unless you have all the time in the world to press wrapping paper, just toss it out. You can go to the dollar store & buy some nice paper in the future for weddings, etc. for a very good price.

CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the world of "married folk" ... I didn't want to throw out the paper from my gifts either. I would use it in a memory book of sorts...cut out the main "theme" of the paper and use it in a scrapbook or sticky page photo album! OR you can do the same "theme" cuttings and make thank you cards or wedding cards for the upcoming weddings with the paper scraps and some embellishments!

the same holds true for baby gift wrap, or birthday paper for that matter...whatever you do with it, I'm sure it will be fabulous!

Maybe you could try out paper mache. though not very time consuming, it still takes a short while. just use pva glue on paper shreads and paste it on your mould. 15-30 mins is all you need to make maybe a vase. Then just leave it somewhere to dry for a few hours. You could also try doing it on a balloon if you want to make a mask.

Maybe you could collage the paper over the cover of a photo wedding album.
collage paper over a cardboard storage box(small round or square)
collage over a waste basket?
