I would mount them on large sheets of foam core board , and mount these sheets to the Wall. That way when you decide to redecorate your room, you just have to remove the boards.

What I did for my office is used them around the top of the room as crown molding.

You can also frame 9 or 16 of them in a picture frame and hang it. You can use more valuable cards (with the right UV glass) and switch them out for a different sport/year when the mood strikes you.

As far as using them for wall paper... I'd use the existing wall paper and hot glue them to it.

You could take them to a print shop and ask them to scan & print them onto big paper, then staple the paper on a wooden frame right up against the wall, or decoupage it to the wall.

Or use clear tape to attach the cards to long strings of fishing line and make a curtain that hangs up against the wall. That way you could look at both sides of the cards.

I would worry about damaging the drywall/plaster. I might just take a glue stick and put them right on the wall. It will wash off with water.

laminate them to protect them form bugs, or you could buy those card sleves that go into binders, maybe get colered ones to add blue or green.
