I am looking to make a fabric covered bulletin board - inexpensively.

I will be using a piece of foam board - (Would the adhesive foam board be strong enough to hold fabic on it, or would it be better to hot glue fabric onto regular foam board?)

Also, what fabric will be durable enough to hide the pin/staple holes? ( I looked at Burlap - too cheesy looking, felt - I am thinking would be best but it may be too thick? I also saw linen look fabric at Joann's that looks like it may work, it is pretty inexpensive and is thinner -- I also looked at strechy lycra type spandex fabric but I am pretty sure it would snag and show wear more than other fabrics)

So what would you suggest??

Thank you in advance!!

I am very interested in taking up knitting. But I'm not sure how I'll learn or where to buy supplies. Does anyone know of any books, websites, or even places that would teach me how to knit? And could you suggest a store that sells knitting supplies?
Thank you!

I was listing a Michel Perrenoud vintage humidor on Ebay. I asked $499 because they retail for $2,300. It has some scratches on the top, that's why I listed it for less. They have similar humidors of the same make for $300 more than what I listed. I have had one person interested in it... they want me to quote them a lower price that I'd accept because it didn't sell. So here are my questions:

1. What are used Michel Perrenoud humidors going for?
2. How much does it cost to fix/repair several very fine, surface scratches on the exterior of the box?

PLEASE- those only knowledgeable of the product needy reply. Thanks in advance.

I'm including a link, in case you'll be able to see the auction that ended and see the pictures... if not, know that there about five or so 2 inch scratches on the front:

I'm trying to find blank plastic rectangles like ID cards and licenes are printed on. I'm making place seatings for a murder mystery party my parents are throwing and need ID cards so the people can assume their new identities.

Where can I buy plastic ID card blanks?
Can I run them through my printer?

I asked this question before and somebody mentioned clear plastic print-on stickers to stick on the plastic ID cards instead of printing directly on them. If that would work better, I need to know where to buy the clear print-on stickers AND the blank ID cards.

Hello crafty people. I need to make clay, it's for my sister's birthday present. Actually, in more details, I need a homemade clay recipe; I'm going to make my niece's hand prints, for her mom's birthday present. Anyone have a good recipe? That would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I want to help my granddaughter make little bluebirds out of a styrofoam egg for the body with a smaller little styrofoam ball for the head. We will use heavy paper to make the wings and the tail and the beak and I will get the little bb eyes to glue on.

I want to paint them blue and then put silver glitter on them and hang them with a bit of string.

They are going to be Christmas presents to family members to be keepsake Christmas ornaments with their names on them.

My parents had one like that and I inherited it when they died. It was my all time favorite Christmas decoration, my little glittery bluebird!

I gave it and one that I made with my son when he was little to him when he moved out on his own.

I want to create new memories with my little granddaughter who is 10.

What is the best paint to use to paint the foam and paper? Is it dangerous for a 10 year old girl to use a hot glue gun? Should we stick to Elmers glue? How should we get the names on them? Thanks!
