I was listing a Michel Perrenoud vintage humidor on Ebay. I asked $499 because they retail for $2,300. It has some scratches on the top, that's why I listed it for less. They have similar humidors of the same make for $300 more than what I listed. I have had one person interested in it... they want me to quote them a lower price that I'd accept because it didn't sell. So here are my questions:

1. What are used Michel Perrenoud humidors going for?
2. How much does it cost to fix/repair several very fine, surface scratches on the exterior of the box?

PLEASE- those only knowledgeable of the product needy reply. Thanks in advance.

I'm including a link, in case you'll be able to see the auction that ended and see the pictures... if not, know that there about five or so 2 inch scratches on the front:

Try a different online auction, or take it to an auction house in your own area.

Ubid.com is a great place to list, because there aren't a lot of professionals trying to rip you off.

Yahoo Auctions has closed down, so don't try there.

"Monsoon means 'wind.' In the Vietnam war we had wet monsoons and dry monsoons. The news media screwed the original meaning of that word to be simply the 'wet winds.' -- blowing rains. - And, so, since most people get their information from the news media and rumors, the meaning of the word 'monsoon' has been bastardized and changed. I imagine you are referring to: Monsooned Malabar is an Indian variety of dry processed coffee beans. The harvested and processed beans are exposed to the monsoon rain and winds for a period of about three to four months, causing the beans to swell and lose the original acidity, resulting smooth brew with a practically neutral pH balance.[1] The coffee is unique to the Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala and has protected status under India's Geographical Indications of Goods Act.[2][3] The name Monsooned Malabar is derived from exposure to the monsoon winds of the Malabar coast.[4] The blend is heavy bodied, pungent and is considered to be dry with a musty, chocolatey aroma and notes of spice and nuts.[5][6][7] FYI: monsoon == noun  /mänˈso͞on/  /ˈmänˌso͞on/  1.A seasonal prevailing wind in the region of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, blowing from the southwest between May and September and bringing rain (the wet monsoon), or from the northeast between October and April (the dry monsoon) 2.The rainy season accompanying the wet monsoon. Edit: To answer your questton: No, a cigar humidor would rot the beans, just like the humid jungles in Vieteam rotted our food and even our leather combat boots when we first arrived. So, the government issued us canvas and rubber combat boots, which didn't rot as easily. .............. If you want to simulate a "wet monsoon," I suggest an old fashion water cooler. It will blow wet wind toward it's target area. Also, a $20 Walmart room humidifier will blow a 'wet monsoon' into a target area. (That's how it humidifies your room.) Just set-up a jerry-rigged tent around a room humidifier and place your beans in the target area.

First of all I don't know what humidors are worth but I do know that Old English , which comes in a bottle that you can find in the house cleaning aisle at your ACO store, WORKS WONDERS to hide/cover scratches in wood furniture. It comes in a light or dark color. This is the stuff the pros use!
