Sorry, but you have a coin that was not done that way at a mint. It is most likely one someone has done for a specific purpose. If it had 1990 on both sides it might be, but having one that has dates 10 years apart wouldn't happen.
A friend used to buy coins at a place where you could get coins with 2 heads, 2 tails or 2 dates to use in magic tricks or just for jokes. He paid $4.95 for them and they really looked like a real coin. Take yours into a good coin store and have them take a look at it. That's what I do when I find one I'm not sure of and they will give you the information you want.

Your coin never came from the mint that way. Someone must have punched in the other date on the reverse of the coin. it may have been made as a love token type thing or pocket piece. On the other hand someone could have put it in circulation for the fun of it. It has no value except 5 cents but is a conversation piece. It got you to ask about it.

A US nickel has the date printed ONLY on the front... someone probably stamped that on outside the mint.

It's worth 5 cents

I'm a coin collector myself, and if it's the only defect of it's kind it's worth quite a lot. I haven't heard of that kind but if there are more like it maybe $20 to $120, heh, don't get your hopes up though.
