I am thinking about taking up a new hobby. I enjoy creating things (especially useful things for the home,) and have more skill fallowing procedures than having to create without using guidelines or tools. I was wondering if anyone had any hobby suggestions. I have been seriously considering sewing and woodworking, and would like anyone’s opinion on the two hobbies, their costs, how easy it is to learn, how useful the hobbies is, how easy it is to find instruction in the hobby, and any other details you think useful.
Thank you very, very much for your time and help.

I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years now and unfortunately since I am young and have no children I have scrapbooked and rescrapped all my pictures. I love scrapbooking its my creative outlet and was thinking that I could offere my services to others that may not have the time nor the supplies that I do, But my problem is I don't know how to get started with adverstising, getting my name out there, or what I should charge. So any help would be great....I would love to pass on my skills to others so they can experience and show off their beautiful pictures.

I was searching a few weeks ago and happened upon a hand drawn pattern for a reversible dress for a toddler - it was what in the UK would be called a pinafore or a smock, the US I think would call it a jumper dress. I failed to book mark it and now have spent a long time searching but nothing. It had tie shoulders. Can anyone help? Thanks

Alright...first of all:

1) must I use special decoupage glue, or can I use diluted white glue? And if so, how many parts of water to glue should I use?

2) once the design is set, how many coats of varnish must be applied over it?

thanks!

I used to design jewellery and have put together some jewellery design packs on ebay from my left over beads, tigerwire, headpins, semi precious beads etc in an organza bag, so you have everything to start designing and making your own jewellery. I have sold 4 (£2.50 each) so far but would like some inspiration, any ideas? I also have 85 Ty Beanie Baby Bears but they don't seem to be very popular anymore so have listed 2 to see if anyone buys them before I list all of them. I am also quite good at drawing life like figures (females particularly) what style do people enjoy most? e.g. expressionism, pop art, still life, abstract etc...? Maybe I could sell some drawings. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks :) Oh and the link for my ebay listing for the jewellery is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120125172996&rd=1&rd=1 so you can have a look at let me know what you think as this is the kind of thing I had in mind.
