I just love doing the scrapbooking stuff. I just don't seem to have the time to do it with having 5 kids. But since you like to do that if your parents will help you start a page to sell on Ebay I know that people tend to buy already finished pages that all you have to do is attach the pictures and you have a finished page. I have looked at tons of these on Ebay. Look under scrapbooking a under pages there will be tons of ideas and the things you can sell and the amount you can think of asking. Another idea is to make jewelary, my daughters school friends are always buying homemade jewelary from each other. The slide show thing maybe incorporate where you are doing the slide shows for presentations for your friends in school and selling them to them. Another idea is to make up a bunch of your scrapbooking stuff and see about selling them at a flee market or at a garage sale. Good luck, crafts are a great thing and people just love to buy something homemade especially when they don't have time themselves.

I don't think there are many places that could legally hire a child that age. I'm sure there are some odd jobs they could do for either yourself or neighbours, so they could start to learn money management. I personally would be most concerned with addressing the issue of why your daughter wants a credit card... She must think it can be used without any forethought and without working to pay it off; or at least doesn't have a handle on what they are all about and how a $100 purchase can quite quickly cost you $125. I once read an article about children and credit... how so many grow up these days not understanding it... and much of it is because they never see their parents paying with cash anymore (the one thing they do understand)... they see the debit card or credit card getting pulled out and used, but they never see the cash getting paid on the credit card. This is something that concerns me as a parent of a young child also, and I will be working hard towards addressing the issue for the next 15 years or so!

This may be stretching your talents but its fun to look into. Wire wrap jewelry is a way to make beautiful rings, necklaces, bracelets, and anything! With just a couple pliers and some square and round wire and some beads or even pretty stones you can do amazing things. For this road I'd start with aluminum and cheaper beads or stones but you'd be surprised how inexpensive silver wire and gemstones can be.
For the "nearly free" category I've heard you can make snow globes out of old glass jars such as spaghetti jars or anything, you just need something interesting to glue to the lid and fill with water and glitter.

As to your service? It sounds like you mostly love having fun making things and you have a lot of life ahead of you so as long as anything you sells cost more than the material you win. Don't worry about "paying yourself for your time" or any of that for awhile. You make what you love because you love it, the money just means you can make more!

Happy crafting!

Hi. Since you do scrap-booking, you have the tools and supplies to make cards. You can make Christmas, birthdays, new baby, wedding, "Just a Note" and etc cards.

Although I am not sure of how to start selling. But I would tell you to keep notes of how much the cost is so you can figure out the price.

You can make cards.
You could also sell your services as a consulting service, advising people how to do layouts, etc.
You start with those closest to you, family, friends, maybe a not on a board at a local grocery store, or even a cratt store.

The reason those crafts are popular is because people enjoy doing them. However, people in your family and neighborhood might give up their fun and let you do it for extra spending money, Time to go door to door!
