I am very interested in learning how to work with silver and gold and how to make jewellery? Just can't seem to find any sites that promote this in my area, does anyone know of any teachers in the Lower Mainland Area?

Okay, so, I'm writing a story about a person who is basically a master at escaping from custody. The timeline is 1800, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how she could escape with hands bound with chains, and with the chains bound to the wall or floor.

Thanks!

I have some jewellery findings, stamped with '18 KGP XP' - I have found references to this being 18 karat gold plated - is this right?

Both the gold coloured finding and the nickel/silver colour findings have the stamp.

Cheers!

I was thinking 'Judy' or 'Polly the Puss Filled Thing'. But I really can't decide an official name.

Seems to be many internal problems among staff members and some cash flow issues that haven't been worked out and that are spilling over into the group discussion where things shouldn't really be talked about. Has the group owner now pulled the plug on the show??

I am sewing a dress and I haven't sewed in a while, and a lot of the things in the pattern call for things I've never done. It calls for stay stitching--what settings should I use for this?

I'm embroidering a name on something and I've been practicing using I think a backstitch, but I'm not really sure. It works that way, but I was wondering what the correct stitch to use is.

I was wondering if it is normal to see through my knit works? I use the proper needles for the yarn and everything, but I always seem to be able to see through my yarn. When I compare my work to things that I bought from the store, that have been knitted, you can't see through them. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't even know the name of that clear coating but somehow you heat it and pour it all over the table. I think it's going to make a really neat collage and the whole family will be in it. Please help me with the instructions from the beginning. Thanks.

I want to make a quilt out of my daughter's outgrown baby clothes. Everything I've read recommends using interfacing. I haven't been able to find any interfacing online that is sold in small amounts or that isn't double sided. Can anyone recommend a brand or site to purchase? Is Pellon Fusible Interfacing ok to use?
