Take a look at any crafts shop for kid's plastic braiding kit. There should be one for key chains and/or lanyards. In any case you can learn how to braid a lanyard. Walmart, Joanne's, and Micheal's should have the kits. Otherwise, search the net for how to macrame (spell?) or how to braid. There is a web site called "About" which might have it or just Google making lanyards. Good luck.

If you want to make them out ofbeads they are great. I am a jewelry maker and I make and sell lots of them. Find some beads you like. Then wire and crimp beads is all you need and a pair of pliers. Can find the directions online anywhere
Good luck
A lanyard is a ID Badge holder some places make you wear them.

yes, I happened to pick up a very cheap kit at walmarts, ( in the childrens craft area) called , no joke.....(camp hoochee coochee -go jump in a lake) www. tonerplastics.comI
It came with a loom made of foam, and 4 colors of plastic lacing, and the metal lanyard clips (6) and also key rings. cost was 3.00 and some change.. It is very fast and very easy. The loom can be used with other materials as well as the plastic lacing. good luck

Don't have a good way of describing how to without showing directly.
Try ehow.com where instructions for how to do virtually anything is described /or the Girl Scouts of America website.
