Made egg fried rice tonight and discovered too late there was no soy sauce in the house. Added a tiny amount of fish sauce but the whole dish lacked taste.

In this country yet abroad in lands such as Iraq we look in vain for basic British West Country Cuisine such as Pork Scratchings, Bacon, Hook Norton Ales, Scrumpy Cider. Is this failure to introduce fine English foods to the Arab palate a cause of the present friction between races.

Corn tortillas are more traditional, they taste better, and they're better for you. The Aztecs and other ancient Native American peoples of Mexico prepared tortillas with corn long before the Spanish brought flour over. Corn tortillas have a really great flavor to them, while white flour torillas are so bland. I don't get it? It isn't like maize is a rare delicacy, so it can't be expense.

I'm looking to buy a sticky rice steamer basket, a variety of rices, and other food related items. Back in Virginia there was an amazing market the size of a regular grocery store, but carried anything you could think of from those areas. I thank you in advance!!

I would like to buy Ravioli Wrappers...I looked EVERYWHERE for these.
Similar to the Wonton Wrappers sols in Asian Markets. I know that these can be used for Ravioli but I think they are an inferior subsitute.
I have seen sheets of Pasta sold in Italian markets that can either be used for Lasagne or Ravioli but again I am not looking for Sheets I am looking for pre-cut packaged Ravioli Wrappers.

Please don't answer this with a recipe for Ravioli dough because that is NOT my question.

Looking for the name and recipe for something that looked similar to an arrancini ball, but it was made with mashed potato, other ingredients (no rice in it), shaped in a ball and deep fried. It was served with a Tumarind sauce. Anyone know the name or have recipe?
