For Christmas my mom ordered cake truffles for dessert and they were amazing! There were a few red velvet cake truffles covered in white chocolate (to keep the truffle shape i suppose) and numerous kinds of chocolate cake tuffles covered in either white, milk or dark chocolate. They had the texture of fudge brownies and were so decadent!

Has anyone ever made these? I would love a recipe or a link! Also, how did you cook it to keep its shape?

It is well known that eating too much meat is a factor in a lot of health problems like heart desease and kidney failure. However do you think it is worth it to go out of your way to never ingest meat? Why or why not?

with a knife, to train them from fearing blood, pain, and accidents?
Also, is it true they put a live rabbit or goose in the school's refrigerator in the teaching kitchen, and make the students open up the fridge and kill whatever lurks inside and then cook something with it to be eaten and graded later?
Thanks.

Mine is 2006 White Zinfandel-Chardonnay, Premier Vineyard Selection by Beringer. It's fruity and sweet and not too tart or bitter. I'm just learning about wine but I had a glass of this at cafe near my home and fell in love w/ it.

Where there are just no vegetarian options available?

For instance, where I am from (Southeast USA) most people are used to even putting meat in their vegetable dishes. So, if you go to a family gathering, for instance, where this is the situation, would you compromise, or just wait until you go home to get something to eat?

(This is similar to my last question but maybe more to the point.)

Like the dough you would find in a Mellow Mushroom... the kind that's tough enough for you to toss, stretch, and spin yet still give you a nice thin middle with a perfect bubbly outer crust.

I have a stand mixer if that can be used.

yeah, I'm not good w/ cooking. At all.

can you grease a pan that is very hot? Or is the butter just burning?? Whenever I try, the butter sizzles out and smokes up so i just wait for the pan to cool.

I received a couple of logs of summer sausage as Christmas gifts.I love it with cheese and cracker but you can only eat so much of that. I know it freezes well too.But does anyone know how it can be used in recipes maybe for a main dish or something? These logs are the 3 pound size so I have a lot of it.I was just looking for some way to use it besides crackers or putting it in the freezer. Any ideas? thanks

I'm 13 and want to get my school district to go all organic. I want to bring in people from wegmans and whole foods(2 organic food stores) and have them try and convince my district to eat only organic food. I made a power point presentation, and have the support of my mom and two best friends and they will come with me to the school board meeting, but my dad said it won't work because i'm only in 7th grade...what can I do to make us eat only organic foods? Also...I dont mean veggitarian and vegan, just foods that aren't genetically engineered and food without pesticides.

I'm trying to explain how to make a shredded chicken sandwich to my girlfriend, who is an excellent chef. She's never had one nor heard of the type of sandwich I'm talking about. I'm wondering if it might be regional because I'm from Ohio and she's from Michigan.

Anyway, I remember eating shredded chicken sandwiches as a kid. I think you use cream of chicken soup or something. I'm not very skilled in the kitchen. I just know that I loved these sandwiches.

So, does anyone know how to make a shredded chicken sandwich? If so, tell me I'm not crazy for thinking it has creamed soup in the recipe because the shredded chicken was always creamy and delicious.

Note: This is not a shredded BBQ chicken sandwich. I've had those, too and so has she. They are great!

OK. So for Xmas I cooked a maple glazed ham....

Like normal, I have TONS of left overs........

However, this is the first year I have done a ham and don't know any great "left over ham" recipies to use the ham with.

If you have any, please share!

Oh and if possible make sure they have no cheese or milk as I am lactose-intolerant. (and before you ask, no I don't want to just take the pills and eat the dairy anyway. I prefer to not chance it . . . becaue it HURTS when they don't work. . .)

Question is after a short explination.

It is Jack Daniels and Rockstar. I know it sounds gross but it kinda has a vanilla-ish flavor to it, plus kinda the same flavor as a Jager Bomb but not as sweet. It is kind of hard to describe. I found out they tasted good together when I took a shot of Jack and didn't have a chaser so I used a Rockstar, the flavor was good enough that I mixed the two and BAM.

What would you name it?

I will be looking for originality, creativity, and a likess to the drink, in other words if you name it "the pancake" I probably wont pick it. anyways have at it! I will also give you props for the name, just drop your first name if you care, if not whatever.
