the best thing to do is use ziploc bags and get as much air out as possible especially for meats and cheeses also works well for fresh veggies

also for smaller ammts. of food consider containers w/ lids

Personally I use Tin foil if its something I know will be gotten into frequently and is going to be kept in the fridge. I will use Saran wrap for freezer items, or maybe if I want a tight seal. Tin foil seems to get tears in it rather easily. I think its really up to personal preference and what you have around and handy. good luck =)

well if your cooking you can use tin foil but don't use saran wrap when you cook if you are just covering something to put in the fridge you can just use saran wrap it's okay if you use tin foil saran wrap holds on better.

Are you cooking, (tinfoil), or covering leftovers (Saran wrap). Helpful hint, no tinfoil in the micro. (as if you did not know that)

Generally, we use those plastic tupperware containers you can get so cheap, otherwise, Kerr uses saran wrap, unless it's a casserole she intends to reheat later.

1. It depends on what I have on hand
2. Do you want to be able to see what is in the container

andddddddddd I will add one more thing to this..........acid based food such as tomato can and will eat holes in the aluminum foil, so remember this point as well when you go to freeze or other wise store your food in aluminum foil.

You can use foil if you don't re-heat it in the microwave.
