I am starting a bartending job this week. I never bartend but I did go to ABC Bartending 2 years ago. A local bar is giving me an opportunity to try out this week....along with memorizing drink mixs, what else do I need to do to prep myself and when I arrive there in terms of setting up what should I look for; basic bar rules (things to look for), etc?? Thanks!

Like on low, 200 or 250 degrees for 6-8 hours? If so, exactly how long and how did it turn out? I am not worried about browning as we are just using the meat for sandwiches.

I just made oven fry (fake shake and bake) chicken tenders and cooked them at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. They were not real thick pieces. After I ate about two pieces I started noticing a spicy/ sort of zesty taste in my mouth. I was wondering if it was a possiblity of the chicken being spoiled? I believe the chicken fry was original flavored. Thanks.

I have a recipe for chicken lo mein but the sauce isn't very thick and doesn't stick to the noodles. Can I use some combination of cornstarch and water to thicken this sauce made of, 1/4 c.Asian Toasted Sesame dressing
1/2 c. chicken broth
1 Tbsp. peanut butter
and 1/4 c. soy sauce.
Going to the store to get additional ingredients other than cornstarch is not an option. Please help I am learning to cook and have no idea what I am doing! Thanks in advance!

My recipe calls for a removable bottom tart pan. I can't find one and don't have time to buy one.

I found this shallow, fluted pan... that I think is a tart pan. It doesn't have a removable bottom. It has this weird trough that goes around the edge. Looks somewhat similar to this one: http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=686979

So... for my blueberry tart... Do you think it's OK that the bottom isn't removable like the recipe says? Should I use a pie pan or the weird pan with the trough?

What is it that red and white wine add to the recepie? color, texture, seasoning??? well, I don't like to use anything alcoholic when I cook, but since so many recepies call for it (esp. italian ones) what are good non-alcoholic substitutes for red and white whine that accomplishe the same thing?
