I just made oven fry (fake shake and bake) chicken tenders and cooked them at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. They were not real thick pieces. After I ate about two pieces I started noticing a spicy/ sort of zesty taste in my mouth. I was wondering if it was a possiblity of the chicken being spoiled? I believe the chicken fry was original flavored. Thanks.

I'm sure it's fine. Why don't you taste the breading mix out of the box and see if it's "zesty/spicy" -- then you'll know where the flavor is coming from.

If the chicken was bad, it would've smelled like rotten garbage BEFORE you cooked it.
