I know its orange in color, but why call an apple an apple, or a grape: a grape?

I know a lot of people make different variations of these.....I usually use yellow mustard, mayo and paprika in mine. They are very basic but very tasty........

How do you make yours?

I'm an avid coffee drinker who has probably 3 cups per day. I'm curious, what are the benefits of drinking coffee? On that same line of thinking, what are some negatives for consuming it daily? I'd like to hear some honest, informed opinions on the biggest benefits/pitfalls.

Also, I remember reading an article somewhere that drinking coffee may increase your sexual arousal whereas drinking green tea may contribute to impotency, any validity to this at all?

Don't waste your time simply posting a link to some website or copying wikipedia or something. Thanks!

This would be for a bread recipe that uses Yeast and is made by hand not a bread machine

If so how much can you add
how would you adjust the recipe

Do you think it would be possible to take out 1/4 to 1/2 of the oat meal and use oat-bran instead.

I have made home made bread by hand for years and years
I do know that some of it depends on the day so you always have to adjust the amount of liquid you put in it.

I have never used oat bran in breads

I want to start to make bread that is better for us

I have to make potatoes for 20 people, and they have to stay hot for about 1 hour. I was thinking about baking them in aluminum foil, but does that make the skin soggy? Mashed potatoes is another option, or perhaps a mashed casserole dish. There is no oven space available, and no microwave, so I will be hauling from home. How do they do that in a restaurant, do they just depend on the heat lamp? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am making hamburger patties, gravy, corn, homemade biscuits, I don't have any potatoes for mashed potatoes. Does anyone know a good side instead of mashed potatoes to go with this meal? I am making this for dinner tonight and I don't know what else to use. I was thinking of some kind of pasta but that just seems to nice for this southern meal?

I made slow cooked oatmeal for breakfast, and I didn't like the results. It came out very mushy, and slimy. It reminded me very strongly of those "just add hot water" instant flavored oatmeal packets that I can't stand! I usually go for quick oats (the kind you pour into boiling water) which I really enjoy. I was hoping for a texture closer to those than to what I got.

Here is the recipe I used:
1.5 cups of old fashioned rolled oats
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 cooking apple, peeled and grated
granola to taste, sprinkled on top

So I think I might have gone awry in several of my steps in actually preparing this. I put all of the ingredients into the pot before I went to bed. My partner turned it on to low a few hours later before he came to bed at around 02:30. I got up at about 09:30 which means that it cooked for 7 hours--about an hour longer than the recipe called for.

I would like it to be a bit dryer and lumpier. What can I do?

Thanks!

I'm lazy about making my lunches for work every night, so I'm wondering if I can make like 5 sandwiches on a sunday night and eat them throughout the week. Would a ppj or sandwich with mayo or lettuce on it go bad by the end of the week?
Thanks for the answers and let me know if you guys have any good ideas.

I do not eat anything that had a face, moved independently, or had thoughts or instincts. I am also lactose-intolerant, so my dietary choices are very limited. I would like to lose weight and be more healthy, however, but I don't know how. Can someone please help me?

The recipe I'm looking for is really easy. You just fold the ingrediants together, put it in a pie shell, and chill. I know it includes whipped cream and maybe cream cheese?

Tonight I'm making a roast tenderloin of beef (milet mignon). Since it's just me and my hunny, I'm wondering what we can do tomorrow with the leftovers? The many times I've made this before, there were plenty of people around to eat all of it.

Thanks!

I know this is vague, but my fiance told me about a dish that his old girlfriend used to make for him. She called it chicken plenty. All he knows is that it's really good and has to cook for hours. I think he also mentioned bacon? Any ideas?
