What if we come across a world in which animals never evolved beyond single cell organisms, sponges and other simpler animals, but the plants on this world have evolved to be become the dominant life much like on Earth? And on this world plants where able to do this because they where able to not only use photosynthesis but also take in large amounts of nutrients because the could exploit the energy with in lesser plants. And say on this world a race plants had evolved to be just as advanced as us. This world we could say was the mirror image of plant and animal life of our own( imagine 60 foot sponges towering above instead of oaktrees), and the plant people of this world had a sect of persons who thought it was morally wrong that plants feed on other plants and claimed that doing such was murder. In fact these plant-folk exclaimed that true moral virtue was in eating a soley animal based diet and that the use of plants as pets, food, clothing ect.. was wrong.

How would vegans view these people? How would their counterpart carnivore only sect view vegans?

I make a plain ponud cake with this white frosting and the cake is delicious! But when I refrigerate the left-over pieces, the frosting gets a little crunchy or gritty, it's as if the sugar in the frosting rises up. The frosting is made with cooked egg white(double boiler method) so I would think you have to refridgerate what's left over. Should I be refrigerating the cake or storing it in the tupperware cake holder on my countertop?

I put a 3.5 lb. roast in my crock pot on top of cut up potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery and added one cup of water mixed w/ roast seasoning. The roast is not in the water at all b/c the veggies are taking up most of the bottom of the crock pot. So, do I need to add more water or will the roast cook well like it is? I want a tender roast w/ some juice/gravy in the bottom that the veggies have soaked in. Thanks in advance for your advice.........

Does anyone have any suggestions for books or websites that include simple but healthy meals for people who are culinary idiots (and fussy ones at that)? A Man a Can and a Plan is okay, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
