she called it stickies. a pastry and then a sugar mixture spread on it and then rolled up. sliced and cooked. the pastry had flour, crisco and milk (like basic bisquits) then 2 sticks butter, 5 cups sugar and powder cocoa - 2 tblspoon (- or +) creme sugar and butter then spread on dough, roll up and then slice and lay in 9 x 13 pan i think she cooked on 500 or that was what i found written down. she said she had these as a little girl but they were vanilla and she made them chocolate. i have tried so many times and i think the 500 is too high. it's like u have to cook fast to melt the sugar but then it burns. has anyone heard of this recipe? and does anyone have any suggestions to make it come out right. hers were always soft and melted. they did harden some when cool. our whole family loves them and i would love to give them this memory! any help appreciated thank u!
