This has always seemed to bother me. When I bring this question up to friends they seem disgusted by drinking human milk. Is it just me, or is this strange?

I was reading that vegetarianism is a behavioral variable where the individual chooses a different food source, because animals who have one food source are at a detriment. But humans, being from a type of ape, have the survival benefit of eating all types of foods. And to basically be sure of it, some individuals, it can be surmised ones with better genetic materials, have been imbued with a sense to take food from different sources in order to basically keep the body more fit. This doesnnt mean the children will inherit it. Because evolution can only occur from change-- change of the environment and food sources are the biggest things which can cause evolution to occur. I was wondering what you guys thought of this.

I read this in History of Vegetarianism by Colin Spencer. Very good book so far. Any comments or suggestions for further reading? Thanks. :)

I am making a dinner for my hubby and our children (nine of us in all) and I am making a really great steak recipe that I have but some of them don't like steak and I want to do something with chicken thats doesn't taste like the same old everyday chicken. Then he picked up a carrot and started cutting up that on a different cutting board. I said that's cross contamination but he says that cooking the vegetables will kill off any bacteria. Who is right?

I have a six of Strumer Pils in my fridge. I opened one and it tasted skunky, as if it were lightstruck. Are pilsners supposed to taste this way, or is my beer really lightstruck?

What foods have you eaten so far this week? How do you choose your meals? Seems like fast food is my first choice lately...and then I draw a blank. Anybody know where I can find some reasonable meal plans that are somewhat quick and inexpensive?

What do you have to say to get a proper cappuccino, as in the type you get in Italy? A short drink, about equal parts coffee and foamed milked. Not a tall cup of watery milk that barely tastes of coffee.

I've recently taken to asking for what they term a ‘macchiato’, with an extra shot. Even this has started to come out as a lacklustre cup of milk. What do I need to ask to get something resembling a *real* cappuccino?
