Soups and stews are always good with a movie, they don't really distract you too much from it. A sandwich with those is always good to help keep you in your seat longer. You can also if it is earlier in the morning, or even during a comedy for some reason cook hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, sausage and sausage gravy in the same skillet with some sausage gravy. Mix em' all together, it doesn't look good but it really is.

I really don't suggest chicken, steak or anything with bones in it becuase that will distract you, sure good during a game but not a movie.

Remember if all else fails, use a frozen dinner, they where made for it.

I really like chicken Parmesan. It's quick and easy to make, delicious, yet casual enough to eat while watching a movie. A chicken salad on the side is also really good.

you shouldn't eat anything really hot, like soups, when watching a movie because you'll be paying too much attention to the movie and might spill all over yourself. Ouch!
