The best recipe I like is
2 ripe avocados
½ red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
1-2 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced
2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
A dash of freshly grated black pepper
1/2 ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed, chopped
Garnish with red radishes or jicama. Serve with tortilla chips.

·4 avocado
·1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
·1/4 cup onion, peeled and diced
·1 serrano chile, seeded and diced
·1/4 cup sour cream
·1/8 cup cilantro leaves, coarsely chopped
·2 tablespoons lime juice
·salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
Mash 2 of the avocado with the back of a fork or other mashing utensil. Add in the serrano, onion and cilantro. Fold in crema and lime juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Dice the remaining avocado into 1/4 - 1/2 inch cubes.
Fold the diced avocado and tomato into the mashed avocado mixture. Serve immediately.

Cut avocados in half. Remove pit. Scoop flesh into a large bowl. Coarsely mash using a large fork or potato masher. Dice tomatos and add to bowl. Finely chop jalapeños and garlic and add to bowl. Add lime juice to taste. Add salt and cilantro to taste. Mix well. Serve on a bed of lettuce. Garnish with cilantro sprigs. Serve with tortilla chips.

This is my best friend's recipe and it's the only Guac that I will eat.
2 ripe avocados
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely diced
jalapeno juice (to taste)
juice of 1/2 lime
salt
pepper
Peel and pit the avocado, mash add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.
If you save the avocado pits and set them int he guacamole they will keep it from turning brown.

It's very simple, not a lot to it because as my family says the whole idea is that it still taste like avocadoes LOL

I don't know how authentic it is, but I love salty foods and this is my favorite way to make guac.
1 large avocado
1 spoonful of mayonnaise
several shakes of garlic salt to taste
it's quick, easy, and tasty!
sometimes I add cilantro but some people don't like it
