Many restaurants prefer sesame seed buns because of the nicer appearance. It can present a better quality sandwich.

Is this a real question? Sesame seed buns are usually the choice of the customer...and they are used for hamburgers, and other similar type sandwiches...but they will say ..."what kind of bun do you want?"

The best reason I have heard is that presentation is often more stimulating to your brain than the taste. Also sesame seeds do have some flavor. They might enhance what they are on.If it looks good it must taste good. Works for me : )

i think whatever is appealing to the eye...if a burger/sandwhich does not look appetizing regardless of it's filling, no one will buy it...you could have filet mignon between the buns, but if it doesn't look yummy I wouldn't buy it....appeal to the sight before the taste...
