This has always seemed to bother me. When I bring this question up to friends they seem disgusted by drinking human milk. Is it just me, or is this strange?

I outgrew that after my parents weaned me off of it.

We do drink human milk, but only as infants. The reason that we drink cow and goat milk is because there is an abundance of it. First, it would be very dangerous to pump hormones into women to get them to produce milk. Second, do you realize that in order to get enough human milk to supply the USA, you would basically have to keep a female hooked up to a machine that constantly sucks the milk out of her breasts 24 hours a day. There are labor laws, and this would completely break just about them all. Literally every woman in America would have to be on hormones and pump all day long 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is not a woman on earth that would be ok with that, and there is not a man on earth that would appreciate having to "work" around all the tubes and machinery. Plus do you know how saggy a woman's breasts would be?

Edit* Also human milk tastes like the things we eat, so basically for the milk to have a cohesive flavor from all over the USA on a consistent basis, we women would basically have to eat the same thing over and over again, year after year. We would never be able to enjoy other foods because we would basically be stuck eating bread and lettuce forever. Thats worse than the other downsides to me.

Humans do not give milk constantly as do cows and goats. Nor can they give as much as either. Obviously many babies do drink human milk, but when the time comes for the baby to go on more substantial food, the mother's milk dries up.

Humans do not drink milk from other humans, as they get old, because they are no longer addicted to it - and therefor the taste and flavor in it is bad ...
But the milk-drinkers do drink cows milk, because they got the habit earlier to drink milk, when their parents gave them cow milk "for getting calcium". They are addicted to cows milk, because cows produce a chemical similar to morphine - which is causing the little baby cows to get addicted to the milk and therefor drink it and grow and get big.
Women do produce the same kind of chemical in their milk - but in a lot smaller amounts, because human babies are a lot smaller and do not need as big amounts of this chemical for getting addicted to the milk...

The nature is smart - we just use it so wrong...

Could you imagine if we actually started the pasteurization of human milk and it became a daily product on the market? Besides our babies that is? "Pamela Anderson, Vitamin DD milk". I can imagine many would profit from the experience, including Bally and the new 48 hour bra by Playtex. Size 280ZX.

the milk from our mothers are only good for so long such as for the three months of our birth, then that area of skin would harden, but you may have to ask a dietitian or obg about this.
