Food & Drink - 5 February 2007

I've always been rather fascinated by tofu, but haven't ever had the guts to try any. I bought some extra-firm today, and am just dying to use it tomorrow or the next day but I need some really yummy (and really easy) recipes for using it. I know you can't just eat it plain (or rather you can but it'll be nasty) and it takes on whatever flavor you mix it with... any suggestions would be GREAT !!

heres one; my mate bought tickets for me his girlfriend and me to see billy bragg in the empire in belfast. so we went up and my mate had a lot to drink beforehand. at one point in the show billy bragg was talking about some political socialist thing or some other self righteous crap. my mate walked down the front with his own t shirt off and threw it at billy bragg, who responded by telling him to buy one of his t shirts and how his was probably made in africa by a starving child for a grain of rice a day! next thing u know my mate bob arrived back with us with a big grin on his face only to recieve a bollocking from his girlfriend because she had bought him the t shirt he threw away for christmas!

*It was refrigerated after cooking, BUT it wasn't cooked to well-done. It still has some pink in the middle.

at the rate they're being gassed ther'll be none left for next Christmas. Do they expect us all to become vegetarians?
and what if chickens catch it....what about my KFC...

What do we flesh craving, blood drinking carnivores need to do to get safe, desease free meat.

In emergencies like this they should pass a law making victims of road accidents and people who've died of natural causes, war casualties etc, available for recycling in the food chain.. let's not be so wastefull...they're dead they won't mind any more than a cow or chicken..

We need our meaty, bloody flesh or we'll start a revolution..

I am deathly allergic to fish and cannot have any trace of fish in my food. I love Pad Thai(got it made specially for me at a restaurant once)but I can't find a recipe that doesn't call for fish sauce. Suggestions?

I'm 13 turning 14 soon and I need to eat kimchi. I tried some, and I almost puked from the sourness. I didn't grow up near kimchi, so that doesn't help. My mom says I HAVE to. Any way to help get used to kimchi and fast? (i just tried it today)

I read somewhere that when you hang the meat out to dry, you can put it in some sort of cloth so that flys and other things can't get to it. Do you know what cloth it would be? Cheese cloth?
