If you want to try out sea urchin inexpensively, you might want to order "uni sushi" at a sushi restaurant. For sea urchin, there are two things at play here: taste and texture. For me, it tastes ok for seafood; the texture, on the other hand, is nasty and makes me think that things are swimming their way down into my intestines.

I guess it would depend on how much you like seafood in general, since stuff like that tends to have a briny/fishy/oceany taste and I'd assume sea urchins are along the same lines.

Personally, I eat no seafood such as crustaceans or shellfish and shark is nas-tay. So I don't think I'd eat sea urchin unless it was a bet or something.

Those last coupla episodes were WRONG. Ilan is such a jerk! Sam shoulda won! Or Marcel, even. Not Elia because she's a turncoat.

But whatever, I'm not a sea urchin eater, so maybe I don't have the best opinion on this. Oh, what am I saying? I can have an opinion on whatever I want! BWAAA-HA-HA!

Yuck. Most raw seafood doesn't taste that good. Most delicacies are terrible, but some people will say they taste good because they're more rare. It's kind of like the Emperor's New Clothes.

As for Marcel and Ilan... I lost all respect for the show when Marcel went to the finals ahead of Sam. In the end credits, you can see where they say the producers consult with the judges about the finalists. That show was RIGGED!!! Marcel only made it to the final round because the producers knew that they'd made him into a villain, and the final show would do better if people wanted to see a hero and a villain square off.

As for the final show itself, Marcel was sabotaged, and in the end, I thought the judges were two-faced and fake about their decision making processes. If it doesn't matter to you what goes on in the kitchen, Tom, then why do you ask questions at the end about "who would you want to work for, and what was it like working for them?!" Marcel put out a good product in spite of being under more pressure. I wasn't rooting for him going into the final round - I was rooting for Sam - but at the end, I thought he should have won. So I was disappointed with that show.
