This girl just cried watching a lion get a baby antelope on TV - and all her tears dropped into the beef stew she was eating at the same time!!! Is it hypocrisy? Lack of knowledge or sensitivity? Or am I missing something here?
I'm confused! What do you think?

What is the best prepared pasta sauce available in US supermarkets? One that even someone who grew up in an Italian family could admit to liking? Anybody?

When boiling food, how come there seems to be more steam when you turn the heat down to a simmer than when it is in full boil? Is it because the boiling liquid is too busy cycling in the pot to be able to break away and when the heat is lowered the heated water can follow its nature and the excessive heat is allowed to rise, take water droplets with it and thus steam billows out?

Just wondering about the physics of it all. I shall now go scrape the overcooked food from the bottom of the waterless pot...

The Wilton recipe is so heavy. I do not like a whipped cream icing so please do not suggest that. We love the icing a Publix. So much that we have bought their icing to decorate a cake but they charge almost as much for the icing as for a complete cake?!

My office has a yearly Chili Cook-off. Now I won last year with my Beer Can Chili and yes sorry it had meat. This year I want to shake things up and do a Veggie Chili. Does anyone have a good recipe without tofu? While I love tofu most of my co-workers are afraid of it for some reason.

I've been a vegetarian for about a year, and feel better physically, and sharper mentally than ever before. This truly is the optimal way to eat for maximal health.

However, I am concerned about soy. I try to stay away from dairy products, and therefore use soy milk. I have read about there being a potential for hormonal or thyroid problems associated with soy consumption. I have not had any issues with the soy milk to this date. Have any of you used soy products long term? What has your experience been. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
