Food & Drink - 29 January 2007

I want to taste Italian Food and I don't know what should i order for a 3 course meal. All i know is Pasta ( I kinda like Fenne ). I know that pasta is all about sauce but what should i order on a date as i don't want to look like an idiot while ordering. I am planning to order white wine. Can sombody please help me with it please.

Why hot alcoholic drinks (wisky/brandy/vodka) are not kept in fridge / coolers while beers are kept. We drink hot alcoholic drinks making it cold by mixing with ice cubes or cold soft drinks ( pepsi / coke / soda)... why don't they serve chiled by keeping in fridge :)

I am cooking a roast dinner for my family at the weekend. My brother's girlfriend is a vegetarian and I want to cook something that I can serve with the potatoes and veg that I am cooking to go with the roast meat. Is nut roast a good idea? I havent time to prepare one from scratch. What supermarket in the UK sells the best one? If I dont do nut roast, can you recommend anything else that I can cook easily with the dinner instead?

I am a vegetarian and have been for 2 yrs (since my child was born) Her father continous to eat meat when he feels like it, ie, when he has a hangover lol. I dont mind, its his choice.

Anyway, My daughter eats whatever i eat throught the week- always veggy. I also give her meats eg, cold meats, McDs cheeseburger and nuggets etc... As I am frightened she wont be gettin all the right enery and vitimins etc. I have been concidering giving her a meat-free diet for a few months.

Any tips on what food to give her that will give her all the essentials? Oh.. She loves spinach! so thats a good start. Also, if anyone thinks i should continue giving her meat, feel free to post!!
