I have. And several things to note; as the previous poster mentions, alcohol does absorb through the skin, so indeed be careful. Champagne is sticky; so the thing to include in the bath is a loofah or a stiffer sponge to help rinse that off. The best way to do that (romantically) is to get bath salts, have that in the sink dissolving to help rinse off after the champange bath drains. Create a 'birdie bath' after this to sponge off sweetie with the salts.Because the salt will be more like salt water (drying effect) you will need to consider baby oil or lotion. Do not use the salt water on her face, just a nice water --you can plain water with a nice smelling soap, too. Another thing, no so romantic is that a complete champagne bath is rather cold. Put very hot water in the tub 1/2 the way, and pour the champagne.
Another alternative (and less expensive) is a non alcoholic champange. Fragrence is the same and still drinkable. My suggestion is this: Go ahead and create the bath, use bubble bath (Mr. Bubbles IS the best bubbler around), go to convienence store and get about 3 or 4 roses, in full bloom and take those off stem place them in a nice bowl. Set your sweetie in the bath (not as hot as I initially suggested) with the bubbles already in; then pour the non alcoholic champagne in the tub, then the roses. To set off the mood all the more, go to Wal Mart and buy a box full of voltive candles (12 ea. box), place those throughout the tub but never around the place where your sweeties head will be to prevent wax spillage and fire on head. Spend the money on the nice wine (red is better...my favorite is a local wine from Missouri from St. James called "Red Velvet"), and some chocolates. Have a nice big bath towel, fluffy and warmed from the dryer if you can do that prior to sweetie getting out. Of course music is important as well. And I would suggest classical music with strings or piano. Ahhh, lovely.
This is a very relaxing and beautiful time for your sweetie. Don't be surprised if she falls alseep, so take that into account. To answer your question the only health risk is the absorption through the skin and if your sweetheart is pregnant, wait til next year. Remember the skin is the largest organ in the body.
Good luck and no matter what or how much you chose to do this will be a success because of the thought and caring you put into it.
edited to add note about drying effect on salt

man you got to much money do you know how much champagne it would take to have a bath. i imagine it wouldnt be much different than buying a wirl pool. why would you want to take a bath in all that booze. try this put some dry ice in the tub and have a bath without getting wet 25 gallons X $30.00 a gallon for the cheap stuff = $ 750. aprox for a 15 minute fizzy bath sounds kinda pricey to me. $3000. top of the line wirl pool is only 4 champagne baths.

A Bath? What a concept! I have not had one in over a year. The concept of having a faucet with cool clear water that you can even drink is such a luxury. Does any one really need a tub? Does any one want to scrub? Why bother with such a waste Don't even bother with tooth paste I cry out, Dry Clean is the way For me, I just powder every day. No towels hang limp and wet to be that moldy scent you bet. Brown water is a treat, Except when brushing teeth It can be gritty and Lord, the taste Cannot be remedied with paste. So keep you tub to get yourselves clean In this waste I'll stick with Dry Clean you just don't know when you sooooo good....

Although it is true that alcohol enters your body through means of absolution, it's at such a small and slow rate that there's nothing to worry about. That's like saying if you're dehydrated, take a shower. Just doesn't quite work. Just be ready for some lovin' after.

Nice poem I like how it talks about part of life of insects It reminds me of nature. It also talks about the cemetery because of bones that are shallow deep The next part is about the quiet water that is raging.
