set out a buffet that they can pick at all day. don't worry about a lot of food - too much running around and stress. Mix it up with a deli spread including meats, cheeses and toppings for sandwiches, bagels, cream cheeses, etc. Fruit and lots of water, juice and coffee. Don't forget champagne. have fun!

As for the actual menu... I'm at a bit of a loss but here's some things to consider:

1. Some nice wine. A couple of nice bottles that is distributed in a controlled environment would be a welcomed 'nerve calmer' for the Bride and her party. Just keep tabs on who's drinking so no one get's plaster BEFORE the wedding.
2. Breakfast could have just about anything but I would stick with more 'finger food' items such as pastries, fruit, etc. A 'continental style' breakfast is called for because it will be a gathering time with lots of movement and the ladies will be carrying the food around as they prepare.
3. The breakfast items can also be used as 'snack food' as the morning progresses.
4. Paper plates and plastic glasses is perfectly acceptable to minimize clean up time as you all prepare to leave for the wedding.
5. Make sure the food you serve does not contain 'stain' material. In other words, stick with white wine or zinfindel instead of the stain diaster waiting to happen with red. Keep away from food colored icing on your pastries that would turn the wedding parties teeth green or red.
6. Serve the food in small 'finger serving' sizes. You'll find that most will be 'to nervous' to eat... but... with small servings they will 'snack' off and on and eat their fill and yet still retain their 'to nervous to eat' mantra.
7. Check your guest list for anyone that may have food allergies and/or diabetic. A quick phone call to each asking about these things would be appreciated and you might even get a few ideas by asking about their favorites.

Well.. hope this helps and good luck!

How about a champagne brunch with mimosa's? You may as well get the party started early. But stick to something light and easy. Like tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, bagels and cream cheese but take the bagels and slice in half and then quarter them. Chocolate covered strawberries will add a nice touch. Check with local resturants in the area that serve brunch and they be able to make up a few trays for you to use or even check with your local grocery store. They be able to help as well and they will be less expensive than caterers. Also go to foodnetwork .com and check out racheal rays 30 minute meals she has several episode on easy entertaining. Or make it easy on yourself and ask all of the guests to bring something for a brunch and you supply the beverages. Good Luck and congrats...

I would do a brunch style buffet. Maybe muffins and bread set up with a toaster and jam etc. A nice fruit salad, some quiche and maybe a veggie and cold cut platter. Think of things that can be eaten easily and dont need to be served warm that way all you have to do is set it out and people can eat as they get hungry.

I would do anything that you can mix up ahead of time. If you really want to go all out, make a quiche or egg casserole the night before, then bake it in the morning. Serve with fruit that you chopped up previously as well.

For lunch, the girls probably won't want to eat too much, as they won't want to look "fat" in their dresses! :) So, I would prepare cheese and fruit trays in advance, and set them out for everyone. You could also do assorted meats and set out with sliced bread for them to make their own sandwiches. You will have enough to worry about, so the important thing is to do most of this ahead of time. Enlist some of the girls to help you put everything out as well.

This Breakfast Strata can be made the night before.
Use your favorite sausages, bread, cheese and vegetables in this versatile breakfast casserole recipe. I used portabella, asparagus and havarti with dill and French bread. Serve with a tossed salad, Canadian Bacon, a selection of fruits. Set up a Bloody Mary bar or Champagne and a variety of fruit juices like orange and cranberry and flavored liquers.
INGREDIENTS:
10 bread slices, cubed
1 lb. bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained
4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
9 oz. pkg. frozen asparagus pieces, thawed and drained
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
8 eggs
3 cups milk
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease 13x9" glass baking dish. Layer 1/2 of bread, cooked sausage, mushrooms, asparagus and cheese in dish. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients and beat well to mix. Pour over layers in baking dish. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake casserole for 60 to 70 minutes until puffed and light golden brown. Serves 8-10

Brunch ideas: omelets...muffins with different juice choices, croissants and fresh fruits, bagels.....many 'quick' foods....

Lunch: Finger sandwiches....or have party platters of lunchmeats and breads available...one of those 'fix it yourself', snack as you go...again, with maybe vegetable tray and dip or fresh fruits....keep it light...

Even though these are added expenses...it will pay in long run to have these made by your local grocer or restaurant...you have enough to do that day, other than cooking or preparing meals!

Not likely they'll be eating much but it's still important for them to put something in their bellies. How about:
Warm croissants with maple butter, jams, butter served with tea and coffee for breakfast.
For lunch, Chicken Caesar Salad and Iced tea.
