I like to use the cornbread mixes because they're convenient, but they always seem a bit dry. What can I do, what can I add? Keep in mind that I'm at abou 7,000 ft in altitude if that matters.

My daughter is going to school very soon. Her school has a policy of no nuts/may contain traces of nuts in anything, because 3 children are allergic. Everything I can give her- besides fruit/yoghurt, contains nuts or may contain traces of nuts. I usually make muesli slice, fruit and nut cookies, muffins. Does anyone have recipies for nut-free food that are suitable for a 5 year olds lunchbox?

i like to eat quinoa for my health being so high in protien and alcalizing. the problem is it has such a stong taste. i soak it over night and rince it well. i also keep it in the freezer to keep it from going bad. but still its a little strong any suggestions on spices i could add to it or other methods of preping it to soften the bitterness?

I was told by someone I used to work with that England's food isn't too great. Is that true? I'm used to good food, b/c I live in New Orleans. What kind of cuisine can I expect over there?

I'm hosting book club for 7-10 woman at the end of January. We read Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. It's nice to have a few appetizers sitting out that don't need to be kept hot and won't go bad after 2 hours. I love to cook and would like something more unique than artichoke dip :) Also, any drink suggestions (I'm pregnant as is one other member, but the others love an alcoholic drink).
