Hey there everyone - helping a friend organise her approaching 21st, and a little confused how much alcohol we should buy (nothing worse than running out, but we don't want to go overboard on the $'s!). So, we are thinking of making a big container/bin of punch, having some light and heavy beers, red and white wine, and some bubbly. We are Aussie's, so talking in terms of slabs (24 beers). Not sure of the final invite list, but could you help me out in how much you would buy for say, 100 people? They will be mixed in age and lifestyle, some older family and family friends, and plenty of school, uni, and college friends (who can all drink alot!). Please help? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!! thanks again!

i have been a semi-vegetarian for a couple of years, and went completely veggie a few weeks ago.
just wondering what other fellow vegetarians are doing in order to receive their optimal nutritional daily values.
I absolutely love soy (tofu, meatless meats, etc) and i do eat plenty of vegetables, and nuts, and could probably increase my intake of beans. Lastly, i take multivitamins as well.
Any extra info would be appreciated :P

I'm getting kind of tired of my usual rum and coke, shot of captin morgan's or kokanee. I'm just looking for new ideas for when I go out on saturday.

Like when it's the middle of December and you and some friends go out to eat at McDonald's in the afternoon, and you get sodas with your meal, do you fill the cup with ice?

It seems like it's really hard to get sick from produce that's like this. Meat is a different story, because I eat meat about 3 or 4 times a year. I would throw meat away right at the first sign of it going bad.

I love making my own coffee at home, but tried the Colombian one and it's too oily. The Ethiopian I'm using for the moment isn't too bad. Have used Illy (Italian) and Carte Noir (French) before. Any suggestions to enjoy a nice cup in the morning ? Tks.

Please help me come up with ideas for the party. We are new to the area, so many of the guests will be my husband's colleagues. I plan to host at our home, and will limit it to 30-40 people.
THANKS for the help!
