My boyfriend isn't passing in school right now, so he's going back to Puerto rico.He promised me we would still be together, and in 3 years, when he's 18, He will come back and wait for me to finish school [i'm 2 years younger than him],So How often have these long-distance relationships work out?How can I keep in touch?

I'm going to make this short... I'm 19 years old and I come from a rich family. I'm careful with who i get involved with. I met this girl from my school who is amazing but i did a background check on her and found out her parents are pretty poor... I'm not against that but Id like to date people with a sort of standard. I met him 4 years ago.Were officially dating in Jan 04 but in April 04 he said he was moving away but it was really bc he was getting married. But he was w/me the night before his wedding, he called me the day of his wedding & kept in touch with me atleast 2 to 3 times a wk everyday after that. We became a couple a yr ago. He met my family & I met his & everything was fine. I found out 3 months ago he was married! I had no clue that his mom & dad thought i was a friend but his sister's knew who i was. He left his wife @ the beginning of the yr & is now seperated & is in the process of getting divorced. Now we're always together.I don't know how to present myself w/ his parents now bc @ this point, i'm technically his lover.I find it very hard 2let go of him bc he's been there w/me thru all my hardships.My mom is currently diagnosed w/ malignant cancer & was told she has 2 yrs to live.I don't know if I love him or I just need him as my security blanket. What do i do?

I've been dating my boyfriend for a little over 3 months now, and with our slightly conflicting schedules, it's been more difficult to keep in touch over the summer. During the year, we are both full-time college students who work part-time. I recently found a new job so I will be working more over the summer, while he works and takes a summer course. I want to send him something, by UPS or Fedex, just something rather small and sweet, to say that I'm thinking of him even though we can't always see each other as much as we want. I think it'd be a nice surprise, but I have no idea what to send! We are both in our 20s. Any suggestions?

Lately I have been feeling down, all my friends have boyfriends (they have all been with their boyfriends for years!!!) For some reason I can't seem to keep a guy around. It seems that I am usually sitting at home by myself. Girl I am head over heels for just broke up w/ long term bf. I ended up being the rebound guy, though we have somewhat of a history together. She was very affectionate and dropped a lot of I love you and how she wished we could be together (don't live near each other). Since we parted she has kept in contact but has said she needs to clear her head of the old relationship. Will continuing to flirt with her and being affectionate just push her away? I want to be respectful of what she is going through, but it is hard to act like nothing happened.

I should've worded my earlier question different, so I am now. I am 21. 6-0 200lbs average looking. I don't have a rock hard body, but I'm not ugly. Best compliment I've gotten is cute (so whatever that means? okay but not good enough I assume). Never really had a relationship. I've had g/f's for like 2 weeks. I've fallen for girls that don't share the same feelings. Never had sex. Last time I've had any affection whatsover has been like 3 years ago. I try. But I don't try too hard. I'm real chill, and laid back and let things come to me. Pursue what might seems interested but never any results. Its driving me crazy. Its more emotional than physical...like idk it seems like no one cares about you. You just want to be held and know that another person cares about what you do and who you are.
