To each is own - love can make the world go 'round, but the sheer thrill of the hookup is quite alluring...
It's all a matter of where you are in your life - relationships take time (but they are usually worth it), and hookups have the benefit of little-to-no strings attached to them.
Just don't try to do BOTH at the same time - it's a very quick way of getting yourself neutered in your sleep...

It depends on you. You shouldn't try to force an exclusive relationship if you're not ready, if you do it will never work.
