Singles & Dating - 20 November 2006

My boyfriend and I of two years just broke up. He broke up with me. We had a very mature relationship and he decided that he needs some time to himself (not to be with other girls, he's not like that, REALLY time for himself) to really discover who he is as an adult (he's 23 and has been with me 2 years and another girl before for 4.5 without much time in between). We lived together for most of the relationship and have been apart for a month, though we just broke up recently. I love him completely and don't want to get over him. We are seeing each other for the first time in three weeks this weekend. I don't want to get back with him right away because I do feel like we both need this time.

So the question is this then: How do I make him want me back, not right this second, but when he's ready. He said that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with anyone at all. But how do I make him miss how good a relationship can be so he'll think of me in the future when he's ready? Thanks!

ok last week i dropped a question here asking u guys here if its fine for me to text my long time crush (whom i met briefly once last month and will meet her again probably in 8 months) good luck for her exams. You guys said yes and i went ahead with the text and she kinda received it pretty well, thanking me and stuffs.

Well she is having another paper tomorrow and i was wondering if its fine to text her again or do i seem too eager cos i dun wanna give her an impression im hitting on her too hard. it wouldnt be nice.

Believe me, I'm not making this up ...

I was having sex with my gf in the bathtub (it's a big old-fashioned tub) from behind ... I leaned over her and pushed her head down underwater, and held her down there for about 20 seconds or so while I continued to "do it"...

I let her up for air for a few seconds, then held her down for longer than 20 secs, then let her up, and so on till we finished ...

I thought she might be pissed off at me, but she told me that she liked it!

My boyfriend has a friend that I am extremely attracted to. I have never acted on this attraction but it is there. I feel bad because I really do like my boyfriend a lot but, I am really feeling his friend. a couple of guys and my guy cousin had a plan to party on thanksgiving, drinking, music, & other things, they called me up & told me to clear my schedule coz that's the plan. &with me always busy with school & other things, I was looking forward to having fun & just letting myself go. But then yesterday, I was at a this guys house (my cousin's ex fiance) cooking & he told me that since I'm the cook in the "family" I should make the list for thanksgiving & he'll get them & I cook and we have thanks giving together. I just smiled & didn't say anything. So, I want to go to the party, but then I don't want to hurt this guys feelings by not being there& helping out. & What's even worst is that his 16 yr.old daughter is conivingly trying to hook me up with him, Which I wouldn't want, But with her, she's trying to make sure I stay there on thanksgiving, What to do, And I can't do the sit and talk to her or him, Go to party, or just forget it AND HELP THE OTHER GUY OUT

OK, I met this guy who is funny, hard working, intelligent, and caring. OK so he is a little older than me ( I am 23, he is 42) but I really love being around him. Like when we first laid eyes on each other...he took a double look at me and smiled...i smiled back. The impact for him seems to be great coz during the weeks that followed at work he was always looking at me, smiling sometimes, sometimes it was just a blank look...he went out of the way to help me...sometimes he would turn away when i caught him looking, sometmes he would keep looking. He would be shy when i direct my attention to him. I would never have any thoughts about this man (i felt nothing for him when i first saw him) if he didn't paid so much attention upon me. Okay another thing is, he is my boss (i mean the biggest one) but he never took any serious liberties...i felt he respected me...now he's away coz he's got business elsewhere...but he'll return. I had a one night stand with a guy almost a year ago. He got my number and knows where I live but never made contact which is fair enough. there's this guy i work with, he's really hot and all the girls there want him. (BTW im 18, he's 29) so far all he's done is flirt with this girl who is really nasty and skanky, and had a boyfriend neway when the first started flirting. he comes to work with her and leaves with her and last sunday they left work early together to go f*ck. so anyway ive liked him for a little while now, and then the other day i was walking back to my desk from the breakroom and he was passing by me and kind of reached out and touched my hand and kind of linked fingers a minute...just completely out of the blue. then the next day he ignored me and onlly talked to the nasty skanky girl. i dont know whats going on, is he just trying to play headgames or what?

We have been talking for over six weeks now, but have not been out on a date. This is mainly because he works practically daylight till dark and is also a volunteer fireman. He accepts my 4 month old daughter ( I left her drug abusing father when I was 3 months pregnant). I really like him but I feel like he is taking such a long time. So last night, I told him that the "fireworks" just aren't here because I feel like we're not going anywhere. Then, he told me that he really wanted to be with me and was trying to get everything settled for us. Since then, I have tried several times to talk to him...I want to work it out, I really really like him, but he wont respond. Should I continue the chase or just let it go?
