OK, I met this guy who is funny, hard working, intelligent, and caring. OK so he is a little older than me ( I am 23, he is 42) but I really love being around him. He raised his 2 kids alone so he is by no means rich, and second..his teeth are AWFUL. overall he is clean and healthy, he just cannot afford to see a dentist. Should I are shouldn't I? My friends say I can do better, but the guys they try to hook me up with are a**holes and only want sex

A lot of guys your age have not got their life together yet. They are either just finishing college or working and trying to settle down a little. Remember girls do mature long before boys and maybe this is the "hole" attitude. If you should marry the 42 year old in 20 years he will be thinking about retirement and you will be 43 and still rearing to go. Something to think about. About his teeth the same thing happen to me due to medication I was on, If he is clean otherwise it shows a lot about him. The teeth can be fixed in time. Give yourself a little more time and maybe you will find the guys your age are finally starting to mature a little more.

When your 46 he will be 65. He's old enough to be your father. Does he take your advise seriously? I wouldn't get involved unless you are treated as an equal in the relationship. Otherwise you will only end up as his oldest child. Guy's your own age may seem imature now, but they will grow-up. I feel the generation gap between you and this guy is too great! Don't wast your life, he's already had his. Think it out carefully...

what the heck in the first place has age to do with it??
if there is love who cares about age. well maybe those who have some cracked ideas about it.
So what if he has bad teeth. maybe you can work with him to get these taken care of. If your looking for the perfect man, take it from me none of us are, if they say they are consider it a lie.
You dont need a man or men just interested in sex. there is more to a relationship than sex so dont give into friends ideas. trust your own thoughts and hearts desire.
Go for it. he is not perfect so what?

Well, the caring n mature ways are good... but u need the moolah too!!
bad teeth are a huge turn-off for me.. u need to decide that???
and guess what, this just might be an elaborate act to get into the ACT..wthout seeming to try very hard for it..
be careful.. but choose ur heart. can u bear to be next to this man day n night for the next few years??
june-december relationships are very very strenuous.. are u looking for a dad in him??

Why not? If his personality makes you happy, if he makes u laugh, why does the teeth thing bother you? It is a fixable problem. And so he is not rich, building something together is so much more rewarding anyways. The point is you like him for who he is, not what he has. Go for it...enjoy

if u like him so much WHY do u care whether he has money? or good teeth for that matter? who cares? if u keep that up in the end that's all u'll end up with is assholes, this guy could be an amazing man and all ur concerned about is his frigging teeth and his money.
