Singles & Dating - 17 November 2006

I've known this guy for about a year through friends - but kind of distanced myself from him because he's a horrible person. But about 3 months ago, I got to be better friends with him and found myself liking him aswell. He's still the same horrible person, but he's always flirting with me, always putting his arm around me and stuff, and he does this with some other people but not to the extent that he does it with me to. He's also got a reputation for "messing girls around", in the way that he leads them on until they like him, then he ignores them. He tried to do this to me once, but about 5 minutes after, he was really apologetic about it and oviously felt pretty bad. I always have "deep" discussions with him while emailing and stuff, but then whenever I see him in real life, he's always so horrible to me. He says this is because of low self-esteem, and that he's trying to make himself look better by being mean to me...
Does he like me?? What's WRONG with him???

See, my love life has been a tad dry lately, so I'm figuring that if I go down to the Chug a Lug and pick a fight with some dude that is sure to beat the crap out of me, some chick will be all sorry and s*** and take me home with her.
Or do you think she'll just go home with the other guy?

I always had low self-esteem but a week ago I just decided to be positive and start meeting girls ..so I did but none of them seemed to be interested in me,people told me being really funny is the key but I don't want to be funny or make fun of myself,I'm kind of a serious guy but I can be funny at times and I'm kind,neat,romantic,smart and studying dentistry but girls care a lot about looks.
so what do you think guys..do I have to be funny ??
will I ever have a gf or should I wait till I become a dentist????

I have been seeing this guy i like about once a week for a few months now, but im very confused--We both work different shifts so the only time we see each other is after his shift (after midnight) on my day off--we watch a movie and then He crashes at my place because we are both tired--we usually go to sleep but theres usually some cuddling and kissing that goes on in the morning when we wake up--thing is when it starts to get serious (in bed that is) he cuts and runs always having some excuse and then i may not hear fom him for a week until he calls again--i would call this a booty call except for the obvious reason that there is none lol--hes said hes afraid of getting hurt again but i dont know what to think---help

I was walking past the local nursing home the other day when I saw a sign in the window..the sign was for a volunteer events coordinator. I thought this woud be a great idea for myself, as it would give me a chance to give back to the community and at the same time bring some joy into the lives of the elderly. I was hired for the position, and I went to work right away. The first event that we attended was an outing to our local strip club. Now look, I know what you're thinking, but these people can shuffle off this mortal coil at any second, I think they deserve a few lap dances before they go! And yes, I brought the ladies too, no sense in leaving them home on a Saturday night. I thought it was going quite well until Charlie, our oldest resident at 91 years old had a heart attack while getting a lap dance and passed on. Needless to say, this put a damper on our evening! I'm thinking next week I will take them bar-hopping..what do you think?

yeah ok i am 13 and this 16 year old in my youth group totally said he loved me and like sent me poems and all and told me i was pretty, funny, and like we like the same music and everything. so the day after he told me that he asked someone else out!! so i emailed him and told him that im not really jealous bc i think it was more of a crush thing, so i said i wouldnt let myself be treated like that and that was disrespectful towards me! then i said he may be 16 but he has the emotions of a 9 year old. and STILL the next day he flirted w/ me!! was i right to say that ans what else should i do?

I have been heart broken over a guy for months now, I am not sure whether or not we'll get back together. Just a lil' question/dilemma/or whatever..I am in my early 20's and an asian female..Just want to know your thoughts on this..Its not that I hate being asian..in fact I do sometimes wish i was non asian..I hate hanging out in places where there's a congregation of asians..And I hate when asian people approach me thinking that because I'm asian, that we're all gonna be friends...I had heaps of asian friends at high school, in fact just about all my high school friends were asians..but now since i've lost touch with all of them I don't know any. the thing is that at times i think that i ve done alot for him... left my friends after a couple of weeks that we started dating.... and now he has transfered to another school... he is feeling abondonded by his freinds... but i told him that i m always there for him. i m in a way feeling rather left on my own. but i really love him and do nt want us to stop in this way. i want us to make the best out of our relationship. we have always done! i feeling rather lost... now he is even at times feeling a bit upset about me talking to our past freinds (who are males) what can i do?

I crossed the line by being too much too fast with my girlfriend of just 3 weeks. It felt so natural to ask her to be my girlfriend and she immediately said yes.
