I was having sex with my gf in the bathtub (it's a big old-fashioned tub) from behind ... I leaned over her and pushed her head down underwater, and held her down there for about 20 seconds or so while I continued to "do it"...
I let her up for air for a few seconds, then held her down for longer than 20 secs, then let her up, and so on till we finished ...
I thought she might be pissed off at me, but she told me that she liked it!

The question is what is normal? If you two enjoy this, then why wonder if your normal or not. Its only you two when you two have sex, no one else is going to be in the same room giving their opinion.

Define normal. Doing that without asking first is a big no-no. That said, there are people who get off on that. So it's normal for her.
And if you both like it, then it's up to you two. No one else should influence if it is mutual and consenual. Be as it may, it can be dangerous to do that and you may want to find a safer alternative, or take precautions.

If it was fun for both of you and you are aware it's dangerous then it's normal for you. Remember these sex games can get out of control, like trying to keep her underwater longer the next time, and longer the next and so on. You certainly don't want to accidentally kill her so be careful.
