Recently i have asked a question whether a girl likes a guy who is nice and talks about feelings or if she likes a guy being more confident funny and all that stereotypical guy stuff

i just wanted to know with any honest answers if thats how a guy should act if hes got to be all "guyish" and not really talk about feelings

because i ask my friends who are girls and they say different things but its mostly the same general idea they like guys who can talk about feelings

but then when i ask guys they say you gotta be all funny and cocky and stuff which i think is just stereotype but mabey im wrong

so what does a girl like then ?

thank you for any honest answers

Ok, it's not that serious of an issue, I just want to know if I have the right to be angry. My boyfriend had some personal issues he had to attend to this week. Well the issues cleared up by monday so he could've gone to work tuesday and wednesday. He decided since he already had it approved that he was going to take time off anyway (which is fine cause his job sucks!) Anyway, the issue being is that my uncle died last month and was really difficult, I asked him to come with me to the funeral but he said he couldn't because it was short notice (which i understand) and because he didn't have the PTO at work. But this month he can take off just because? What do you think? Do I have reason to be angry or should I just drop it?

Ok, before you start maybe I am paranoid and I am not saying my bloke is shallow in anyway..........this is mainly a curiousity question to all you ladies............

I am a UK size 14 and weigh 11 stone, I have never had any problems getting men and I do get compliments and I do consider myself as good looking (no am not being big headed). I sometimes find mysef comparing myself to my fella's ex-wife......she was slim (UK 10) used to model (topless & Sunday Sport years ago) and had a large bust.....and was pretty until a couple years ago when alcoholism took over.

Why do we compare ourselves ?? Do men do the same ??

my boyfriend loves me alot. he says that I'm the girl of his dreams. he says that he wants to marry me but I really don't feel the same way. I have plans for after high school and they don't include him. how should I tell him without hurting him. especially after he gave me a promise ring. what should I do?

P.S. he is overly sensitive, he cries when we break up, and threatens to leave his house and town forever, and cries for enverything.

My dad died in January, and I'm having a rough time getting to be at peace with it. When my grandpa died a year ago, I was much easier for me, so why is it so much harder now, and when will I get over it?

he was in the car crash too, she was taken from him and i think he still needs time on his own to get over her, he told me he has box of photos and newpaper clippings, he still had her photo in his wallet when we had been together 6 months and he went to work away aboard and took her photo. but from a totally selfish point of view i think hes the one for me, and i dont want to loose him and he says hes over her, but i dont know if i should break it off so he can have time to get over what happend fully. he used to visit her grave every week and her parents but told me he doesnt now. i would never stop him from doing any of that, i told him he should just do whatever helps him get through it. but i cant get her out my head, i mean his family have called me by her name a few times, im i just a look alike replacement for him to ease the pain? or am i over reacting?

We are a large family and find it hard to get everyone together for events.
One of my daughters has planned a birthday party for her two year old with the "Cars" theme. She has ordered all the goodies.
OK, I have another daughter who has a son that will be turning 15 one day after the two year old. The mother of this child called the mother of the two year old and asked would it be alright if she brought a birthday cake for the fifteen year old and the gift from her and his dad to recognize his birthday too.
Well, mom of the 2 year old totally flipped out and said it was her sons party, she planned it, and wanted only him to be in the "spotlight"
In my opinion, I say what difference does it make. We recognize all birthdays in this family, and that will only keep us from going to another birthday one day later, or the next weekend.
The whole family is in chaios over this and feels badly toward the mom of the 15 year old and says it is a scheme to get him presents, etc. etc.
Help!

Mr. James,

My name is Annie Nelson, a mother of 2 youngmen such as yourself.

My question is in relations to your personal life, while watching a Cavalier's game the announcer directed attention to a young lady in the stands and identified her as your fiancee, I noticed that she was pregnant.

What is going on with you? Young men are taught to grow up, establish a family (marriage), and then have children.

Is the cart being put before the horse? You as a n example to the young black men should know better.

What are you saying to them by your example? it's OK.

I am a concerned mother of 2 young black men who are sport advocates.

Any questions, I can be reached on 216-543-1253.

I have been broken up from someone for a year, and haven't seen them in a year, but still find myself thinking about him sometimes and wanting to do well for myself so he realises what he missed out on. There's no chance for a reconciliation because I wouldn't put myself through it again, but I want to know if it's normal to still feel a bit broken-hearted and resentful? And is it normal he still comes into my mind when I meet new guys?

I am 20yo, but I have always been "mature for my age", or so people say. Several of my closest friends are more than 2 decades older than me, but I don't feel the age gap at all.

One such friend is a 45yo former teacher who has always been a great mentor and role model. We see each other twice or thrice a year, and email regulary (around twice a week).

Now, I've always had a huge crush on him, but I've never told him simply because I know it's inappropriate. On several occasions, he has told me that he "likes" me a lot, but that he respects me enough to keep distance.

Lately, he has been asking me to tell him how I really feel about him. Should I tell him I like him a lot, even though I have no intentions of being more than friends with him? Or should I leave things as they are and keep on pretending that I don't feel anything special for him?

His question is simply borne out of curiosity, and I'm sure he also has no intentions of taking anything to the next level.

Well, this is the story: My best friend is now ending her marriage (she was married for 10 yrs), she has a baby girl 4 years old. The thing is that now she seems to be dating just losers, and she is very depressed about it. I told her that she should take some time for herself, but she is so obstinated. How can I tell her that she is acting because she is still in pain without hurting her feelings? I know this is the last thing she wants to listen, but it is the truth.

We started off as friends, talking on the phone. I knew her for about 2 years, and both liked eachother. She always had a crush on me and I would act macho because we are both in a military program. Anywho, we talked for months. We shared the same interests and ideas, very alike. We stopped talking and then she had a boy friend a few months later. He cheated. Long story short, we went out after some time, and it went beautifuly. We fell for eachother. After 2 months, I neglected her by pushing her away. I started being rude, not caring, not giving her attention, and lost trust because she got drunk one night and lied to me scared I would break up.I was upset, but I neglected her. She cheated, kissed another guy drunk, broke up with me right after, couldn't look at me, nothing, we didn't speak for 2-3 months, and now we are talking again, says she realizes what she lost, no guy cared as I or was open enough to just be stupidly romantic & caring. Is there light in this darkness?
