My dad died in January, and I'm having a rough time getting to be at peace with it. When my grandpa died a year ago, I was much easier for me, so why is it so much harder now, and when will I get over it?

Time will help, but the reason its harder with your dad is because he was more a part of your life than gramps was. It's hard to loose a parent, and you will always feel a piece of you is missing, but if you look at all the good times you have had, and know that even though he is gone, he is still in your heart then eventually the pain will ease. My heart goes out to you!

It HURTS to lose a member of your family, knowing that you will never see them again. It's hard to accept that. It takes a long time to even get to where you can accept them being gone..... but with time, it DOES get easier. I'm sorry you're hurting. I hurt when my Dad died too, and still do at times, even after 12 years.

Because he was your dad. Mothers and fathers are especially hard to get over. Mine died when I was 14, and I've still never fully gotten over it and that was ten years ago.

thats how life is. thats why we should treasure every moment of our life with our loved ones and not take anything for granted!!!! life is so fragile but we have to move on. treasure the moments that you have with them and be thankful that you shared some moments with them while they are still in this world with us.

Because your father is more important than your grandmother. It's normal not to get over someone's death so easy especially your father's death!
