No i dont think that they are intimidating. That is called immature and stupid. All it does is get on peoples nerves and then make the whole situation worse. It doesnt solve anything, and it doesnt make any one anymore scared of you. Lets just say that they need to grow up and deal with things the right way

A person acting like this has gone out of control--you don't know what he will do next. This would be very intimidating for anyone to witness.

nope. if it's an adult, and i feel the situation can't be defused by encouraging the person to talk about what's bothering them, i leave...take away the audience so-to-speak. most adults who act out in this manner feel powerless and have learned to get what they want by using anger, intimidation, and manipulation. if it's a child behaving this way, it's a learned behavior, that needs to be "unlearned," or redirected by teaching them anger management skills, and learning to get their needs met by verbalizing what their needs are and being actively listened to. a lot of kids (and adults) behave this way because they don't feel validated and are often treated like their problems are trivial and unimportant. active listening can go a long way in defusing many potentially volitile situations.

Personally, no. I find it childish and very immature. It resolves nothing and only disturbs any children in the house.
