My long-distance boyfriend of 3 years told me last night that he's fed up to come home always to an empty flat alone and that he was wishing I was there. I thought it's sweet and told him that I miss him too, that it'd be nice if we could organise a meeting. We see each other about once a month. This morning he sent me a text that he didn't say it to be sweet and that he's fed up of having a girlfriend who's far and that it's been too long like this and he doesnt want to continue like this. I told him that I understand him but what does he want to do? He said we really need to think about it and he said not to expect always a solution from him, I also need to do something. He was looking for a job near me but could not find one. I started to be scared and asked him if he wants to end it. He got upset and told me that I always take everything as a threat instead of trying to find a solution with him and that he doesn't like that. He said to stop worry like that. We'll talk tonight.

How do I get forgiveness and move on? I feel really terrible but I think it is too soon for me to approach those whom I have wronged and apologize. I really do feel bad because all of my actions have been out of hurt and anger. It's like "I feel bad, you hurt me now I want to make you feel hurt, even if it's a fraction of what I felt" I know the old saying "what comes around goes around" but I really do just want to be a better person for the rest of this year and years to come. How do I get back on track and put the past behind me? Most of the things that I feel bad about are things that I have said and I know you can't take words back but I just want to do the right things from now on.

Women treat confident, healthy men like dirt, and run off with abusive, unfaithful "bad boys". Then after those women are damaged goods from their bad boy adventures, they decide that the good guys are okay.

Why do women act this way, and what makes them think that the good guys will settle for them now that they are messed up?

Like any self-respecting chap-about-town, there is nothing I enjoy more of an evening than partaking in wagers. So far, I have lost my car and £56,000 on this sport of gentlemen, on wagers as diverse as 'how far can you run with a pig on your back' to 'how many rashers of bacon can you stuff up your nostrils'. It's all rather rummy fun, of course.
The dashed problem with all this merriment is that my betrothed sees this as detrimental to our relationship. It has got so absurd now that she is denying me my conjugal rights as long as I continue to make foolhardy bets. How can I set this young harridan straight?

I have been dating a man for almost 4 months. We've been living together for about 2. I told him from the very very beginning that I require complete openness and honesty in a relationship if there is to be ANY trust. I've told him everything important about me. Yesterday I came across paperwork that said he was the biological father of a girl. When I mentioned the name, first he tried to lie and say that was the name of the girl he slept with a long time ago. I said "why does it say you're the father then?" Well it turns out that girl he slept with had a kid and didn't tell him. Years later he found out and did a DNA test to determine if he was the father. He claims that before the kid could be tested, the kid and mother were both killed in hurricane Katrina. (Yet the legal document I saw said that it was determined by genetic evidence that he WAS the biological father). He doesn't think he should have had to tell me. What do you think? How can I ever trust him?

I live with my boyfriend and we own a house together. I was recently off work for 3 months due to medical reasons so was more than happy to do the housework. My Dr. gave me the ok to go back to work so I explained to my boyfriend that we will have to share the housework again. He agreed.
I do the shopping, cooking, laundry, vacuming, dusting and general picking up aroung the house. I only have asked him to clean up his own mess like pots and dishes in the sink and coats and hats around the house. I work the afternoon shift and everytime I come home the sink is full of dishes and his stuff is strewn around the house. I clean it because I can't wake up in the morning and look at it.
I'm not a neat freak by any means, but am I asking for too much? I'm getting really frusteratted with the half-as5 job he does when he does do it. Breaking up and selling the house is not an answer. What should I do??? I've already threatened him that he will have to do all the work I do too.

and are often in a vehicle alone together for hours. I can tolerate her, but she wants to have personal conversations that I don't feel comfortable having with her. She asks about my religious preference, my family life, etc. She listens intently to my telephone conversations (my son calls me as soon as he gets home from school) and asks questions about what she's heard.

I can't do anything about the work relationship. Unless I want to be without a job, I do have to work with her, but I need a few words of advice on how to deal with her. I haven't been and will not be rude to her. Certainly there's a nice way to tell her to back off and keep her nose in work business. HELP!?
