Ok me and my man have been together for 4 years and we have a son together. We both are very much in love but the other day my boyfriend decided to let me know that he dosent think i am ready to get married. He says that I get jealous when some other girls are wanting to get with him and that it isnt right. Can someone please explain to me why Im not supposed to get jealous when some girl goes up to my boyfriend and tells him that he has a nice *** and asks for his number? I know im ready for marriage but he has doubts. How do I show him that I'm ready? Can someone please help!

He's not ready for marriage, he's too immature, and he's apparently still looking.
You probably get upset when other girls want to get with him, which is normal, he's supposedly committed to you, other women shouldn't even be in the picture.
You two have made a commitment deeper than marriage, you're co-parents, you're now committed for 18 years to a person you both created.
He needs to grow up and either sh*t or get off the pot, don't hang around hoping he'll decide you're ready, the smartest thing you can do is venture out on your own.
Get your own place, take him to court for child support and start making plans to move on with your life, it doesn't sound like he'll be ready to make that commitment any time soon, so why stick around for something that isn't going to happen.
Move on and start your life without him, either he'll make the choice that he's ready, or he'll let you go, but at least you'll know where you stand and whatever he does or doesn't decide to do, you'll be okay. Find your own happiness, don't rely on him to find it for you. Good luck.

How come girls are coming up to him with these statements? Tell him that you are very much ready for commitment and the definition of it is: trust respect fidelity, loyalty and MONOGAMY. It means, in no uncertain terms that if and when another girl approaches him with inappropriate statements, he must put an arm around you and say to her, "I am taken, this is my future wife, now, kindly take a hike". Then, you will have no reason to behave in a jealous manner, How about that?

Correction: HE isn't ready to get married because he already owns the cow. And anyone who is jealous is not ready for marriage, but is ready for therapy. You are viewing life through your own limited knowledge base and you are getting the wrong messages. It is the wise person who knows they do not have the answers for their OWN life.

This the same dude that cheated on you in a hotel? What do you think he's doing now that he's in another country? Do you think a man wants a pushy, controlling bit*h or a hot chick he can screw and leave? hmmm.

He's saying that because HE's the one who's not ready for the marriage. You're ready. He's not.
It's natural for you to get jealous when other girls say those kinds of things.

Don't invest more than 2 - 3 yrs. in a relationship without marriage
and never have kids without being married...
It does not sound like he wants to get married, at least not to you.
Move on...
Learn from your mistakes...

It's not you. It's him. He's not ready to give up his single status. Time to decide why he's like that or time to move on.
