I can understand if their is a "no doubt - 100%" abuse going on where their is no circumstantial evidence, but hardcore facts; however, it seems that when a child gets a scrape on their knee of a boo boo on their finger - there MUST be abuse happening.

There is a family BBQ and a recently outed (1.5 yrs out) family member wants to bring their partner of 1.5 years. The gathering is at the home of a sibling of the gay or lesbian person. The partner was not invited to the BBQ and the sibling of the gay or lesbian person has not shown any interest in meeting them. The sibling of this gay or lesbian person is uncomfortable with the possibilty that the gay or lesbian couple may hug or hold hands or act in any way like a "normal heterosexual" couple in front themselves and other family members (especially young children) who will most likely be uncomfortable and not understand. Does this mean that the sibling hosting the BBQ is homophobic or at the very least promoting homophobic behavior?

My mother charged a cable account in my name and now it is affecting my credit as the collection agency is after me. I want to report this, how would I go about this as she owes me alot of money and I want to show her this is wrong? Also, she says it doesn't matter because I was under 18 when she did it.

My 3 year old who will be 4 in November is a little to friendly. I have noticed when we are at the docotrs office or out to eat she is attracted to children around her age. I know that this is not a bad thing. The problem is she wants to hug them and take there hand and lead them around. I am afraid her good intentions are going to get her hit. How do I teach her that other people need personal space. And that we just can not touch people because we feel like it?

if you were judged as "the only thing you have achieved in life is to have a baby".
Personally I think having a healthy beautiful child is the biggest achievement I will ever make in my life and leaves a career and awesome income way down the scale of my priorties now.

He was driving me to my ballroom dance lessons, and we were argueing...you see the day before we had gotten home from a softball tournament (4.5 hr drive) and i brought in my bookbag full of clothes and my big purse that had everything else i needed. As i was walking into the house i heard a loud noise & when i turned around i saw that he had thrown a lawn chair on the ground in front of him, and then thrown another one on top of it, i mean he threw them hard against the ground. And about a week before, he had told my mom to **** off, she then threatened that if he ever said that again, he would be outta the house. But back to driving to dance lessons, he was yelling at me cuz i was standing up for my mom and sister and i was yelling back, and he was wrong in this arguement he called me a B**** in this also. then he drew his hand back like he was going to hit me, then stopped, so i looked out my window...then i felt it...he backhanded me across the face, what i am supposed to do?

He is only going to be 13, so he doesn't need certain things, like a razor, for instance, but I do know to include deodorant!

Not looking for anything too expensive.

I lost my father very early this year (72) I have 2 other brothers and we made a bedside vigil doing shifts in the hospital to support mum. After he died my brothers did bugger all to help...

I had the job of arranging all the funeral details when he died, (I paid Too ,They were broke!) did the token speaches in the church cos they couldn't (I even did most of the crying!)
After that I sorted out dad's estate, applying for benefits to make sure mum was okay financially. I virtually did everything and still am to help mum who is still overcome.

My dads birthday is coming up soon and both my brothers are distraught but I'm quite calm and collected "they have to cheek to ask if I have no feelings".
I feel as though i'm the cold hearted one now or am I looking at this wrong...I don't seem to be able to grieve!

Today I asked my son to help around the house but guess what I went the hook after repeating myself 30 times. He told I was an unfit and the devil well wow I stoped counted to 10. but still pissed off and went ape $hit on him. Here it is working mom not a single parent but hell we do for our children own our home. Pay for priviate school. That cost an arm and a leg decided to let go of car payments because we dicided his education means so much more than car payments he is excelling in school. But all I want is little help around the house I do laundry and cleaning cooking and also have a full time job. On top of everything. His father tells him not to talk back but it's like he gets a kick out of it. I'm writing maybe not to get crazy answers but just to vent. Just a simple thanks for reading

Hi I need some advice on how to get my mum happy again at Christmas time.I know that me and my brothers are all grown up, but when christmas gets near we all, including my dad get into the christmas spirit and get excited. But my mum seems to dread it. She seems to get down as it reminds her of family that she has lost and she doesnt really seem happy around this time of the year. Through the year she is fine, but i want to know how i can make her happier to realise that we are still her family and are here for her and these are the times we should be making the most of. I can understand as last year we lost our uncle and it was a hard time, but now it seems to have hit her harder than ever. She doesnt really talk about it much to not get upset. I know i cant even imagine how it feels to have lost both parents and a brother. But i dont know what to do as i dont like seeing her down. Any advice would be great.

I have been married to this man for 25yrs this last June. I knew for about the past 2 yrs something was going on but had no proof. This last July I started snooping in his email, message archives, everywhere I could think of. I found that he was meeting with someone for sure and confronted him on that but still had no name of the person. Kept digging and just about a week ago through my own detective work I found out for sure who he has had an affair with for over 2 years. I walked into the store she manages and asked her if "she had been F&#@ing anybodies husband lately"? She wouldn't admit it but my husband did. He is just as much to blame I know. I am sooo angry with both of them. But I really want her to hurt because she had been involved with everyone in my family for those years and acted as if it was nothing. My children are grown and my husband wants to act as if it never happened. He has no idea how much anger I still have inside me. What Now?
