He was driving me to my ballroom dance lessons, and we were argueing...you see the day before we had gotten home from a softball tournament (4.5 hr drive) and i brought in my bookbag full of clothes and my big purse that had everything else i needed. As i was walking into the house i heard a loud noise & when i turned around i saw that he had thrown a lawn chair on the ground in front of him, and then thrown another one on top of it, i mean he threw them hard against the ground. And about a week before, he had told my mom to **** off, she then threatened that if he ever said that again, he would be outta the house. But back to driving to dance lessons, he was yelling at me cuz i was standing up for my mom and sister and i was yelling back, and he was wrong in this arguement he called me a B**** in this also. then he drew his hand back like he was going to hit me, then stopped, so i looked out my window...then i felt it...he backhanded me across the face, what i am supposed to do?

Speak to your mom about what happened and then perhaps have a family meeting. You can sit down and DISCUSS the issues without yelling and drama. Let cooler heads prevail.

Ok call the police ONLY if this is a repeated thing. If it is only one isolated incident don't call them. You don't want your father to have a police record because something in his life which you clearly are NOT understanding is affecting him deeply. You are being driven for nearly a 5 hour drive to an activity you enjoy. What is your father doing during this time. Worrying about how to support his family. Maybe problems in his marriage. What goes on behind closed doors between your parents is between them and he may have hit the end of his rope with your mom. You have no right to stick your nose into a fight between a husband and a wife even if they are your parents. You have no clue to what their private life is like. Sometimes one has an affair and the other tries to put on a smile and go on with life while it eats them alive inside. Sometimes money is so short they are barely making ends meet and having companies send them nasty notes in their bills. You have no clue. YOU need to forgive this. Keep your opinions to yourself about what goes on between a man and woman and just support both of them. If you see your dad is That stressed out that he is throwing chairs he clearly needs you to be nice to him and not make matters worse. I am sure he loves you very much but your nagging only made him lashout. do NOT call the police if this is only one incident its' not worth giving your dad a police record and making him lose his job over. Oh no if he lost his job he wouldn't be able to afford to take your butt to all those classes and afford the gas and the 5 hour drive to YOUR activities. Whens the last time your dad has his OWN activity to relax and enjoy.

interior the previous it became favourite, even instructors have been aloud to hit toddlers, some adults discover it difficult to different than that it is not 'appropriate' in recent times. My father beat me while i became a newborn, not purely slaps yet desirable punches and each so often he could use shoes and belts it effected me confident. at last me and my sister have been given so indignant with him sometime he had to bypass out, we did not talk to him for 2 years, we get on great now, we nevertheless havent forgiven him one hundred% yet we at the instant are not bitter anymore. maybe you should tell him while he's in a terrific temper which you do not purely like the way he treats you, and promise to be properly behaved and are available to a compromise.

Go to the police and tell them what has been happening at your house. They can tell you what you need to do from there. Good luck.

no man, not your boyfriend, your father, NOONE has the right to hit you like that, just like YOU have no right to ever do that to your boyfriend, your son, etc. etc.
you need to do something about this. you need to talk to a school councellor, a police psychologist, your mother, SOMEBODY that can help you do something about it. that f*cker should not hit you, not anybody. you need to do something about it RIGHT NOW, too. you need to make sure he never does that again. and if he does, castrate the bastard.
