My parents told me they loved me and then they would hit me or yell at me too (i wasn't the best child kind or stubborn, rebellious etc at times). So I have a hard time believing what they said. But I know that they did because of how they showed it! They paid for clothes, college, my car, my bills etc. Anytime I got in trouble yes they would scream and yell but in the end they helped me out and i will always be grateful for that! Watch what they do. Do they listen to you with both ears? Do they do things for you ie take you to games, movies and pick you up? Do they let you use the car and pay for gas? It is all the little things that matter as well. Believe me it is important to hear the words I love you-- but I was always told actions speak louder than words. Show me tha you love mean by doing things and not just by talking. Talking is just words. But if you do things out of the kindness of your heart without being prompted then that is proof to others and in the end is better. Hope this helps you.

ask them just like you are asking here. Tell them you need to hear it sometime, I'm sure they do by their actions. Do they buy you things? take you places? Some people just aren't the mushy kind, especially men, now mom is a different story. Have they ever just taken you in their arms and hugged you or gave you a kiss for nothing, just because? If not maybe you should try to make these moves first and see how they respond, maybe they need a little nudging. Show them how and maybe they will start doing it back. Tell them that when you are a mom that you are going to constantly adore your child and your going to make sure that they know they are loved by your actions. Good luck, let me know what happens.....................

Actions speak louder than words. Remember you are totally
dependent on them right now. I f they didn't love you, you might get cold at night while sleeping outside.
Approach your parents when you are sure they are free to sit down and talk. Express your feelings to them in a calm adult manner. You will be surprised at their responses. Be prepared it may feel good or it may really hurt. Please don't judge them too harshly. Remember never judge a person until you have walked in their shoes.
Your life depends on you and you alone. No person on this planet
can make your lifes decisions but you. You are not alone! I also went through my hurts, but I persevered. Good Luck!!!

Anyone can say, "I love you". They can say it a million times but they are just words. You can tell if someone loves you by the way they treat you. If your parents have never said it to you, have they treated you with love? You can tell your parents you love them and maybe they will tell you the same in return.

It's like that old song: "Some people never say the words 'I love you,' but like a child, they're longing to be told..."
Tell them you love them, don't expect a reply, and don't judge them. Just love them. They're doing the best they can.

My parents never told me they love, but I know they do because why would support me or do anything for me if they didn't? They raised me up and supported me and still are. Sometimes you don't need to say anything, because the actions say it all.

Tell them that you have been thinking about it and realized they have never told you. Ask them why and maybe it will open their eyes and you might be surprised. Do you tell them that you love them? Good luck.
