I have a 5 year old daughter and I don't feel comfortable letting her play alone in the back yard even though we've gone to great lengths to childproof it and have a fence. My worry is child preditors. If she was playing in the back yard, of course someone would watch her from in the house, but you hear all the time about kids getting abducted these days and the parent just turned their back for a moment. Am I the only one with these fears and is there an alternative so that my daughter can be more active? I don;t want her to sit and watch TV (or even read) all day. I also wanted to add, that when I was 5, my parents did let me play in the back yard, alone and they didn't watch me like a hawk. Why, do you think, is it so much scarier these days?

What would you do if the person you have been involved with for six years and you loved with all your heart makes you feel less of a person, just because of a "mental/thoughts" issue i'm currently dealing with from my past? Mind you, its regarding my parents, should I be looked as a bad person because of the way my parents were, are,is and will be for ever? I think its wrong for anyone to judge about anybody. God should be the only one to judge, why should I tolerate my partner making me feel this way? I've explained over and over to my partner how I find myself feeling and all my partner has to say to that is nothing. No consideration for how i feel, almost as if I have no say in anything, and what my partner says its what goes...anyways, what would you do if this was you? I find myself battleing myself inside, in deciding whether I should stay or If I should go. My mind says go, but my heart says stay, how do I handle a situation like that? Some positive advise would be great.

I have this cousin that is an incredibly sharp-tongued, confident/cocky, audacious and intelligent. Eg, She stole an item from my room a while back like it was something of hers and it got me thinking again tonight because until this day i haven't figured how to handle her conniving ways.
I coincidentally found the same expensive hat my mum had bought me(which i took quite a fond liking to) displayed in her room and i asked her if it was mine(i am sure that it was and is cos she mentioned she had liked it) .. she replies in a very cool manner .. "No i bought that".. and i asked her again was she sure and she nodded on like it was nothing at all. I didn't believe her of coarse but i didn't want to push it. She does these kinds of thing's to me all the time and then tells me i need to be more demanding, i hate that my kindness is so often mistaken for weakness. What should i do ? I've tried confronting her but at the end she still makese me feel like an idiot door mat.

My father-in-law is a jerk. Infact, he has a narsasistic personality. My friend says I should send him an article on the traits and mark on it to show him areas he needs to work on. Should I do this? I really want to tell him off. My husband is nothing like him and everyone else in his family is scared to tell him this! I'm very tempted!!

Hell hath no fury like woman scorned?! I know she's on rage right now, so what should I do to calm her down... before she'll do nothing but avenging her unloyal ex-bf?

PS: We live together just the two of us. No parent or closed relative... they all have passed away. As her older brother, what could I do then? I'm 21, she's 20.

Okay, first off I want to say this boy is living with me because our moms are together(lesbians). He is 13 and I am 16. They have been living with us for a year now. When they first moved in, him and I had to share my queen sized bed for 3 months before we moved into the bigger room and moved to seperate beds. We now live in a different house with our own rooms, but I just want to say that we have become good friends because of sharing a room for 6 months. I also want to point out that I am NOT gay. Dont steriotype the situation because of my mom's sexuality. Here is what he is doing, example: We are in my room and I am laying on my side watching him play a video game and out of nowhere he decides to lay against me while playing. I'm not talking about just scooting back and useing me as a prop-up, he laid his body against my stomach/chest and rested his face against my chest while playing.

My bro is 14, and has been abused for nearly ten years by my father. I wasn't, and I just got back and I had no idea what the heck was going on, and I caught him in the act. Now, he thinks it's normal and wont report it to the police! I'm18, now, though. Can I sue for custody and child support? I have my own apartment and reasonable pay.
