Say you met someone through an online dating service, exchanged a lot of e-mails and had numerous phone conversations, a pic exchange and you had a great time together when you finally met, and almost right after you met they went back with their Ex. Then say they became available again and you go out with them..as friends of course, and have a good time…but this time you are forced because of some circumstances to tell them how you feel about them and they respond by saying they are in a “catch 22”...and then three days later go back to their Ex for the 3rd time. In your opinion why the “catch 22” answer? Why don’t they just say I love my Ex and I am not interested in you that way???

I am 24 with a great career, own my own house, and I am ready for and wanting a committed relationship. He is 33, is in a career he loves, looks and acts younger than he is, complete gentleman (brings me flowers, opens doors for me, etc. - very respectful (difficult to find guys with chivalry my age!)), always making me laugh, is relaxed and prioritizes a work/life balance just as I do. We are both active in sports and extracurricular activities, and have the same outlook on life. I consider both of us to be great catches.....

I think he is great, but just wonder - is he just looking to settle down with anyone or is this creepy for a guy to go after a girl 9 years younger? Is age really that big of a deal?

Im having a bit of a problem, i am an 18 yr old girl who is very attracted to a 28yr old male i met over the internet, and he has made clear that this attraction is mutual. Neither of us were looking for anything more than a fun chat when we met, but now he has mentioned getting together for real and becoming serious. All of my friends think im crazy for even considering this given that i have absolutly no problem getting good guys right here at my college, but i cant seem to stop thinking about him. I know for a fact that he has not lied about the important things anyway as i have seen him on cam and therefore was able to confirm his age, apperance, occupation, etc. We just seem to click and although everything i have ever been taught goes against this, i find myself wanting nothing more than to take him up on his offer and be with him. I am very confused over what to do, so please any thoughts, ideas, or advice about what i should or shouldn't do would be greatly welcomed.

OK well hear is the problem. My boyfriend who is 25 years old, We just bought our first house together, recently he told his parents that we were dating. and he went and told his dad this first because he knew his mom was going to freak out because me and him have dated before. anyways now his mom is so mad at him because he lied to her and didn't tell her first. It's got so bad that she even called his work today to see if he was really there or not. We live 4 hours away. I dont know what to do. We dont want to have to break up just to make things better. Please help me understand what kind of rights he has as an adult? because he loves his paretns alot but he just wants her to leave him alone and let him make his own decions.

OK - we are 99% there - My boyfriend and I have decided that we are moving in together and he has all but just confronted his daughter with it. She's not going to be happy, but she will come around - I have a good feeling for a change. Anyways, I want my man tobring his personal posessions and everything else he wants to help make this house "our" home - even though it has been my house, it will become OURS and he needs to feel that & so I am supportive of him hanging his pictures on the walls, he has full control over the garage - yadda, yadda. He thinks I am a toal trip because I am spirited about him feeling like it is his home too. Says that realistically, he thinks it is going to take him some time to get used to it. SO - do I help him settle in or should I just be open to him saying "where can I put this?" - even though my answer will be "where would you want it"? Does this make it easier for him or harder?

My sister is getting married! I'm so excited. But, I'm very conflicted. First, she didn't show up at my wedding or my fathers, and she was my maid of honor. Second, she wants me to plan and pay for her entire wedding. I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it but, get this...I'm in her bridal party but, I'm not her maid of honor! Her neighbor is. She's known this woman for 2 years TOPS! I guarentee this woman will not do a bridal shower or anything, she might even stand her up and not show up as she did to me!

I'm very frustrated by this. I feel like I'm doing a lot and not being recognized. But, then I feel bad because, I should just be happy for her and not selfishly put my demands on her.

What do I do? HELP!

Should I say something to her?

Yesterday, my boyfriend of 2 years told me that he's finished with me because he found out I was cheating on him. I cheated on him once back in October and I felt bad so I told him what I did and he said he would give me another chance. Well, last week I met a guy at my work and he was so sexy, and I couldn't resist. I was going to keep it a secret, but my boyfriend found out about it. He was really mad, and he said he isn't waisting his time on me anymore because I'm not worth it. He is kicking ME out of his house.

How can I get him to trust/love me again? I don't want to leave the house because I really like the neighborhood, and if he kicks me out it means I will probably have to move in with my parents or a friend, and I think that's going to happen but I don't want it to happen. PLEASE help me?

I have known this guy for 3 years. We have always got on very well and he has paid me zillions of compliments about my smarts.He bigs me up eveytime I see him but he has always been the perfect gentleman. Recently it has stepped up a gear and we are lightly flirting. I found out that he has a girlfriend of more than a few years. He has never been sleazy in any way and treats me with total respect. He has made me feel really good about myself and been very understanding when I talked to him about some personal issues and drama. Like I said the perfect gentleman. I am certainly not young and naive but I feel this man would like a relationship with me. It seems to be heading that way because we seem so connected and the way he acts around me. Nothing physical has happened and it wouldn't because he has a girlfriend. However I do really like him and I am a person that dosen't see things in black and white, circumstances and situations are very complex and I know these things happen. Help!

We all love / hate our birthdays bot we still want our friends and family to acnoledge it. It just seems odd that my birthday was yesterday and I never got one call or one wraped gift. Not even a cake but I said I didn't wan't one. To top it off I am 24 weeks pregnant and no one calls to even see how I am doing witht the pregnancy. Yes I may be pathetick but I have feeling and I am sure there are many of you out there that have gone through similar situation.

Yes you heard me and I am so sick of it.. he gets her into drugs, his loser friends make her act different, because she feels as if she needs to fit in with them. they get her to skip school when she needs to go to school, even today she said school is for losers. Wtf!? Doesn't she want to go somewhere in her life!?? I just keep praying and praying for this to end, for her brother to go away or move somewhere.. or him to chose better friends.
