We all love / hate our birthdays bot we still want our friends and family to acnoledge it. It just seems odd that my birthday was yesterday and I never got one call or one wraped gift. Not even a cake but I said I didn't wan't one. To top it off I am 24 weeks pregnant and no one calls to even see how I am doing witht the pregnancy. Yes I may be pathetick but I have feeling and I am sure there are many of you out there that have gone through similar situation.

although we expect for other ppl to make the incitive to call and wish us a happy b-day, sometimes we plum forget. it doesn't hurt to call other ppl. life becomes busy. you're not pathedic. just take more steps to socialize. you'll see a 100% difference with the number of phone calls you get

My daughter forgot my birthday 4 yrs. ago. My birthday did fall on the first day of school. I laughed about it with my mom - and we put bets on when she'd remember. (she was 14 & I just turned 36) You aren't pathetic...you're pregnant.
You have so many more hormones banging around than normal, no wonder you feel crummy & sad. How would you have handled this last year? You can NEVER control others actions...you can only control your reactions to their actions. Maybe my example isn't the best, and I'm sorry, but my advice is good. Think of all the possible reactions you can have, and then pick the one that won't upset you. Sounds corny, but it works...with a little practice.

Yes, actually my very own husband forgot it. I even went to where he worked and had lunch with him (I was attending college at the time and we often ate lunch together) and not once did he remember. Everyone remembered when I went to classes that night, they even announced it over the PA system. He didn't realise he'd forgotten until three days later. He felt horrible about it, and still does.
Don't think he'll do that again...lmao

Yes, my own mother forgot my birthday 2 years ago. I will never forget it - I was hurt but I got over it. I still tease her about it. Don't worry about it - they still love you. They may not realize that they are doing anything wrong. Call them.
